I have came up this idea when I saw someone write on internet, "fully re-polish the game and republish".

I think DICE should have delivery another new copy with stable patched condition of Battlefield 3 game for us, what do you think?

So in the future if our system has crash, or hard drive break down, or changing to SSD, and when we reinstall the game, we no need to stay or wait overnight for the ridiculous patch files. Unless they provide manual patch in the website so people can download for backup and straight away patch it after full installation from DVD.

No. Valve has been doing it for years with TF2/L4D/L4D2 and yet no one complains about it. What you can do is backup the installation folder so that when you reinstall the game in the future it does not need to re update. That's what I usually do with all my games

See where Origin installs your BF3. Usually it's C:/Program Files/Origin/Battlefield 3. Once an update is complete, backup that folder to another drive. Thus if anything happens, you can just easily copy that back.

For what I did, I install games in a specific HDD, thus even if I reformat the PC, all my origin and valve games does not need to be redownloaded whenever I reinstall both client

Which means, backup the whole entire game folder?

I understand some other game or application might not work if we backup the whole folder because they might need to go through Windows registry in order to run the program. By the way, really great information you provided there.

Oh, what you need to do after reinstalling windows is to reinstall origin, and then turn it off. Copy the files back to the original place, and run origin again. It will scan your files and if you are lucky, you either won't need to update or just update a 100MB file

So in these order
-> Reinstall Windows
-> reinstall Steam/Origin
-> Turn off Steam/Origin
-> Copy back game folder to Steam/Origin
-> Run Steam/Origin
-> Let it scan your games
-> ???
-> PROFIT!

How come the patch is so huge? 3.9GB?

Quite normal. Also I think Karkand is added, just that due to Sony being an ass, it's not activated yet
