QUOTE(nuox @ Dec 9 2005, 12:46 AM)
hi, im planning to buy new specs this coming christmas

spec is

Opteron (2.2mghz)     1050
Kingston 512    170
Kingston 512    170
DFI NF4S ULTRA D    630
Seagate 80 gb SATA    225
Creative Audigy ZS    310
msi nx6600gt diamond   660
ACBEL 350 WATT    140

i planning to get the opty 148 from abg din, the thing is, i notice that opty does'nt have a lot review..

my question

1. but from what i read opty maybe good in squezzing the mhz but bad in games , is that true?

2. if im not wrong the different price for 148(abg din) is 1050 and AMD64 OPTERON 165 (DUAL CORE) SOCKET 939 (RETAIL) is RM 1400.... the different is only 400.... should i go for dual core, does it worth money

3.do u guys have very good reviews about opty 148... or 146 or 144, done some search but what i have is discussed opty in forums which does'nt satisfy me enough, wonder if u guys have link to good reviews

But not really stable de. SuperPI only for 1M, tried 8M and 32M, both failed. sad.gif

SP2004 primed, failed in less than a second.

a lil of voltage is needed to make it stable...mine is priming and stable now for about 2 hrs now tongue.gif

3Ghz on air is possible here, for some quick test run and benchies. And could be near impossible for 24/7 usage, unless anyone there dare to bet on that by running on 3ghz 24/7 for a try out. tongue.gif

u are talking about 144 or 146? my 146 is 3ghz on air cooling now primed for 11 hrs no prob.... stopped at 11th hr coz need to go to work ~_~
