having a weird problem with my Opteron 144 OC. It can do 275HTT 3XLDT default Vcore dual SP2004 stable for over 5 hours. RAM with divider to make it below 200Mhz FSB. Latency 3-4-4-8 2T(Infineon BE5 default 2-3-2-5 PQI Turbo Memory 2GB dual channel kit) . The weird thing is once I use 280HTT it won't even POST to bios screen. No display at all. Even pump up 5% and 10% Vcore and PCIE set to 8up 8down also cannot post. Proc temp always below 50 running Aquagate R120+AS5 full speed fan. 580W true power PSU. Proc tepping CAB2E 0540. Anybody faced this no display prob when OC before?

ehmmm i think it's because of the stepping itself....

mine is cab2e 0610 gpaw..... it can boot normally and primed it more than 5 hours with sp 2004....

the first thing i tried to overclock was I increased the htt to 280 and used 1:1 100 as the ram divider....and also I decreased the LDt to x3....the rest I let them automatically....

and it can boot normally....

What vcore and LDT you set in bios?Did you try higher vcore for the opty to ran 3Ghz?
*
i ve tried so many things to achieve 3.0 but then It always failed...

first I tried to raise 1,5 vcore in bios and I set 133 as a divider...for htt I used 333 since there is no option for x2.5 at ldt....so I set 333 times 3... until I raised 1.5 to 1.52... it still failed....

btw king...Tommorow ok...please remind me In a message..so sorry for the long delay...

ehmmm.... I think this Processor already hit the wall...here is my new Overclocking result:

Attached Image

htt: 328, ldt:X3, Voltage: 1,525 in bios, divider ram: 133
I already primed this more than 8 hours stable but then I forgot to take a screen shot of that...

but the only problem was I still couldnt get 3.0...sigh...anyone??? give me a magic..he2he notworthy.gif

here are the tries Which I did yesterday:

htt: 334, ldt: X2, voltage: 1,5 in bios, divider ram: 133 result: FAILED

htt: 333, ldt:X3, voltage: 1.5, 1.52, 1.55 in bios, divider ram: 133 result: FAILED

htt: 333, ldt:X2, voltage: 1.5, 1.52, 1.55 in bios, divider ram: 133, result: FAILED

do i have to set another divider for ram?? because I always set the divider to 133...
once twice I tried to raise the divider, but It couldnt even want boot into windows...

does it effect in overclocking thingy??? my rams are Team extreem 2X512 pc 4400 ddr 550..
