U guys, have you read the news recently? the CEO of proton is looking for ways to privatize proton as a global player in the automotive world.. he knew that cronies will forever leach proton till its death and now he is doing something about it.

Take pride on your vios? city? accord? camry? altis? these cars are good, but start comparing with european cars, japs are like proton as well.

pikir la bodoh, europeans started the automotive industry, they have better exprience, technology and expertise only after that jap follows bit by bit, and now Korean are improving as well.

If you compare to other brands, Proton is relatively new, only 25 years while others already reached above 45 years of establishment(almost 100 years for european brands).

You cant take shortcuts in the automotive industry, R&D is not cheap, and you also have to maintain the leverage, market share and cost inccured.

Thats why i say, u guys only look at the surface..whereas you dont even realize that proton is looking for ways to improve their qualities, increasing their market shares, and reducing their manufacturing costs through economies of scale.

tin milo commen is f***ing old, it shows u know nothing about proton improvements, let alone about the recent achievements of proton cars.

Alahai, tu la cakap senang...kill import tax tak habis2. Macam mana Malaysia nak maju, dah ada dah automotive manufacturer, siap dah beli lotus lagi.

But malaysians?

"let me buy imports!!"

"let me buy powerful cars, bmw ftw pung pang pung pang"

beli je, tapi productivity hampeh, nak maju economy macam mana? macam paris hilton?"owh i buy expensive stuffs to help the economy" (WTF?)

Look at the bigger picture, we need proton to provide income for the nation as well, kalau forever nak rely on agricultural industry memang susah la.

Proton can also be used as a platform for our young engineers, tak semestinya engineer proton akan kerja kat proton forever, with that experience they can open their own business. Mana tau next time diorang boleh bukak company baru. or even venture to other engineering field.

Aku kerja dlm oil and gas industry dah banyak jumpa ex petronas worker buat company sendiri, now they are making millions through knowledge and experience gained from petronas, baru la maju economy negara. Even koreans use service from them.

Cakap je senang la, pikir tak cukup panjang, semua nak pentingkan diri sendiri, "asal aku pakai BMW lantak la negara nak bankrap ke, kena songlap ke, janji aku hidup dengan BMW aku" ni apa punya mentaliti?

Proton had to put higher price tag because their manufacturing plant didnt produce enough due to low demands. Take note they made this plant to produce at least 50% for overseas market.

The real problem here is that they cant gain enough market share overseas to maximize the production capacity

hence there were no economies of scale.

Recent action undertaken by the current CEO is to shift to the overseas market, focusing on developing the market shares so that proton can maximize their manufacturing capacity and reach economies of scale.

This will make it possible for proton cars to be price at much lower level.

Now the current news is talking about Proton looking for ways to improvise, shifting to overseas suppliers, gaining market shares, privatizing and future outlooks, all the positive shift to make the brand better.

Its not even related to the current situation at all, all these comments can only be found on proton cars dated 10 years back, while current proton cars are not that bad at all. That shows how shallow your knowledge about the current automotive industry, and keep on insisting that proton cannot improve at all,a total prejudice.

Aduiyai, kalau nak refer to proton engineers memang la ko tak nampak the bigger picture.

Engineer memang nak letak semua barang bagus, tapi pernah ke terpikir pasal costing? accounting? market? brand image? ada?

Bila management nak reduce cost memang la engineer kata bodo giler management, tapi diorang tak nampak kenapa management buat macam tu. Ada diorang consider proton mampu? ada diorang consider supply chain? finalize pricing? takdee....

Sorry bro, aku refer to management side, so i can see the bigger picture, CEO proton pun aku refer so kirim salam dengan kawan ko, pesan kat dia kalau service kereta proton tu jgn charge tukar air filter bila kereta org tu pakai open pod K&N

Memang la sakit beli kereta, sekarang jgn pening kan kepala bro, u know cars are not good investment, tax is gonna be there so theres no use ranting about it, buat membazir air liur je.

Be smart la, U wanna buy good quality cars, start investing on other things, use a bigger portion of your income investing and not buying cars!!

Kalau dah gaji tu under 4 k, u think you can afford BMW under 100 k? of course initially boleh, but what about spare parts? what about maintenance?


why not use simple and cheap cars, hyundai, proton, perodua, kia, all these cars are good brands for mid low income people..

Then set your aim high, wanna use BMW you have to be realistic, aim to open your own business, by hook or by crook try to achieve at least 10k above within next 5 years, ini susah sikit dah give up, lagi2 yang kawin awal, jgn berangan la nak pakai BMW.

The tax is there whatever you do, keep on ranting does not take it away..

so why dont we improvise? aim for higher income, increase our own purchase power, only then we can improve the economy positively..

If you cant afford BMW at current price, believe me you will never be able to afford BMW without tax, kalau beli pun letak dekat rumah je, service pun tak mampu byr.
