Is it?i felt a lot of metal powder inside gearbox during 1st 1k,gear in not smooth also after service gear in smooth smooth le,i ask the mechanic whether to change along mah,he say normally chg at 1st service as standard

However the problem is some have been dragging till 7k rpm, definitely high wear. I'm also planning to flush the gearbox oil for my MT at the next service. Planning to keep the car for long and I dont want it ending up like my old wira GB.

A Proton Technician's advice for those going for bump stopper replacement. That process involves the dismantling of ur springs/absorber, and one do not this often. Sharing this so that ckk125 and Pips, going soon, can prepare early

BYO pads so that some noises at ur springs/absorbers can be reduced. Pads can be made of hard rubber, polyurethane or hard PVC. At the very least, bring ur typical coloured plastic water hose as a cheap alternative. FYI, front lower part for me car has right n left pads bought @ RM100 per pair. Rear nothing. Sigh, this advice is an after-the-event for me.

Pads are to be seated/rested on the springs cups at the absorbers ( or perch or dunno whatever term) sandwiched onto the uppermost & lowermost part of our springs coil. ( hey, i did electrical engineering not automotive engineering).
This proposition is not something that is long-lasting, but if u can get small polyurethane tube or pliable hard black PVC hoses ( those plumbers use) , may be better. I have seen Hyundai using polyurethane for that purpose n still over time those break/decompose/hancur over time. Dunno whether shops got sell these pads.
