Hi Guys,

My water heater is installed by plumber, and I need to do the wiring now. I need to get a 2.5mm2 wiring and direct plug into the 15A wall socket. Correct me if I am wrong, coz the instruction manual mentions about some 300mA fuse.. etc. stuffs. Those are optional?

Anyone DIY it before, please comment. thanks.

My house already equipped with the 15A socket. The switch to turn on/off water heater is already there.

Basically, my water heater is just installed below the 15A socket. I already know the 3 points L/E/N inside the water heater.

Just want to confirm if instant water heater wiring is just as simple as from the 15A socket -> water heater via 2.5mm2 wiring points. Directly connect?

First time DIY for water heater, but wiring is nothing new. I DIY for alot for my house stuffs.

Added on December 7, 2011, 11:33 amI was trying to find the 2.5mm² x 3C wire, but the shop says this 70/0.193mm x3C is the typical water heater wire. It seems this wire going to sustain till 20A of continuous current.
Can anyone confirm this?

If any expert around, can advice the different between 2.5mm² x 3C wire and 70/0.193mm x3C.

The shop has only grey color, I prefer to get a white color wire. Any shop in KL/PJ that sells wide range of wires? Please recommend. thanks
