Sanko @ MSI, I can see you are getting serious now.
I can see a good job done.

I have a suggestion to MSI.
Please deliver the product to the market as early as possible.
I find MSI always late in delivering product.

I hope to see MSI be the first to launch the Ivy Bridge with GTX680 next year.
Many will grab it instead of brands like Sager.
Don't be late comer if you are serious in capturing market share.

cel1987,
PM you the info. Perhaps you are the first one who is going to actually place an order. I'll try to get the MOQ lower. I'll discuss with PM tomorrow.

Sanko, excellent job!
I can see you have done a lot of "human touch" here, as a vendor.
I think it is very important to have someone with technical know-how to assist our fellow members here at LYN forum.
If my memory serves me right, you are a good overclocker. I believe you can give a good advice to our members here.

I personally think the price of GT783 is a steal. Certainly the best in its class (with GTX580 GPU).
I would have bought the GT783 from you (without 2nd thought) if I didn't get my Sager 8170 many months ago.
Nevertheless I'm looking forward to buying an MSI notebook in near future (that would be ultraportable Ivy Bridge with decent discrete GPU, I believe).
Well done!! Keep up the good work!

ALeUNe,
Opss, not much ppl know i'm from OverClocking Scene actually. Haha, old timer here. Thanks for your compliment (i take it as a compliment biggrin.gif) and support. Actually i'm pretty new in the notebook scene. Been active mostly in Hardware and OverClocking. Technical wise, i'll try my best as notebook is still a finished product, there's always a little more complication compared to DIY. Too bad that at this moment MSI is not going to produce ultrabook, last i heard from my PM. Thanks again for your kind words again and again. Really appreciate it.

Not necessary Ultrabook.
I'm looking into something to replace my Acer 3820TG. Anything faster and lighter than Acer 3820TG will do. nod.gif
Please bring us more good products from MSI. I'll check on your product list after Ivy Bridge releases.

Hi Sanko,

i believe GT780 can get for 5399 which include free upgrade to 16GB (maybe just promo) and i see from first page GT783 different is it use gtx580m which is around usd300 more expensive. I give you rm1000, translate to around 6399, with lesser RAM.  (you can still argue its promo mayb for the GT780) SRP 6999, cool.

Can get some freebies or promo with that price from MSI hq please? Free SSD will be great.

GTX570 is approximately USD110 higher than GTX560.
GTX580 is approximately USD475 higher than GTX560.
The exchange rate is USD1:MYR3.15

So, the price for GT783 is approximately MYR1150 higher than GT780.
The price quoted by Sanko is very reasonable.

If you want a better price, you can actually get few people to join the bulk-purchase (to meet the 5 units of MQC).
Try PM forum member, cel1987. I think he wants a unit of GT783.

ALeUNe,
Without MOQ we are still honouring the Pre-Order pricing which is RM6,499. So no worries.
*
That is a very good price indeed.
Sager with the similar specs can cost MYR7K.

I see. In this case, I quote from RJtech, the seller that I bought my first sager laptop smile.gif

I think RJtech quoted lower because they don't need to pay for the name of "Sager".

for sager np8170 i can even get it at 6k including shipping with these specs

i7 2630qm+500gb 7200 rpm+gtx 580m+4x2g = 8 gb ram and everything else basic with no os

and for msi barebones i can get at 5k with shipping  with the same spec as above because for gaming laptop a basic quad core+ gtx 580m is the only thing that matters i hope sanko quotes me a better price than this
*
Riddhy, you can share it at Sager thread on the sites you can get Sager 8170 with GTX580 @ MYR6K.
It would help users to weigh the decision.

I'm interested to buy a CR460 entry level notebook.

From MSI website, I can see only drivers available for Windows 7. Any idea if I can run Windows XP on this machine? With all the components working properly?

Thanks

I think no issues.
I checked and you should be able to get drivers for chipset, graphic, ethernet and sound (those are the core parts).

No idea on the card reader, BT and webcam. You should be able to get it.
