Hi hironobu85 as stated by MSI-MY
On MSI GE620(DX version) with graphics GT555M 2GB Thread
QUOTE(MSI-MY @ Feb 20 2012 @  09:52 PM)

Dear All

For your information, the "Warranty Void" sticker has it purpose.
Initially, once the sticker is torn, the warranty will void.

But, to ease our customer, that would like to change/add HDD or RAM, we will still accept unit that

1- Harddisk changed
2- RAM Changed/Added

If the sticker is torn but no HDD and RAM upgrade found, the unit will not be covered by warranty. It is best for you to ask your dealer (that you bought your laptop from) and upgrade it for you.

Hope this is clear.

Regards
thank you hiozneko for the quote

the dealer told me that it will void the warranty though if I want to change my hdd... I find it best if I can swap it myself, I am not a pro but I have done some upgrading on my desktop so I know a little bit about technical stuff and from what I researched on the web I can see it is quite simple to swap it anyways...

MSI-MY or Sanko has phone no that I can call to enquire about the MSI purchases or can I go to a physical shop to purchase it?? do they sell the MSI notebooks or just distributor/representatives of MSI?

Sorry guys, has not been really helpful lately. Do remember, i'm not the only one here. MSI-MY is actually the main representative of MSI Malaysia. Anyway, update the pricelist of MSI Notebooks along with the specs. Also removed EOLs. Kindly take a look @ post #3.

Dear ruffaz

Normally for notebook RMA it will take 7 working days. But there are certain cases that may take more than 2 weeks.
Example of the cases are parts shortage, compatibility issue, etc.

Look like price going up, warranty going down.

6. CR650X [15.6", AMD E240, Radeon HD6310, 2GB DDR3, 320GB HDD, DOS, 1 Year Warranty] - RM1199
7. CR650X [15.6", AMD Dual Core E450, Radeon HD6320, 2GB DDR3, 500GB HDD, Carry Case, DOS, 1 Year Warranty] - RM1399

Dear pcbase

Im sorry, there was a mistake on the list. We will fix it shortly.
The CR650X that comes with E450, the warranty is 2years. just as before.

And yes there was an increase of laptop pricing end of last year. Im sorry that this is unavoidable due to HDD shortage. We still facing this kind of issue until now.

Hey guys, I have the MSI GT783 with the intel 2nd gen 2670 processor. Would it be possible for me to change the wireless card into the Bigfoot Killer Wireless-N 1103(3x3). Isit compatible and able to be supported by the laptop? Would changing the wireless card void the warranty. Is the warranty by MSI AU any different than the one in Malaysia? icon_question.gif
