I am curios the COBRA guy his suit is Rubber or Synthetic Leather like Ghost In The Shell? I want to order it but if it is synthetic leather i might have to pass.

Because I'm really nervous when it comes to these kind of materials. You can see from Beast's 2nd pic that around the neck the suit has some small marks, which probably will crack up after sometime.

It's OK if it's just small part like Stormtroopers but for Cobra this suit is one of the main selling point. And once it fails you can't really hide it, due to the fact the color is bright. Same thing as Ghost In The Shell Kusanagi, but Kusanagi still new.

I don't mean to bash Medicom (or whatever company that utilizes these kind of material), but I'm just nervous about it. Also a good reason to pass this for Golgo 13.

Olive Oil, someone did mention about it few months back forgot was it you or mywii who told me his stormtrooper came with olive oil applied by previous owner and the oil was removed. I searched online on Olive Oil & Leather and can't really find hard proof that it works, it's abit like urban legend where it might work but on the other hand it might stain/spoil the leather.

I'm not that particular about rubber suit as I believe they are tougher and as long as you don't stress the rubber or dry it up it should be alright.

The synthetic leather suit are more like fabric coated with leather like materials. So far, Bandai's Old Kamen Rider 1 (with Cyclone Chogokin), Medicom RAH Stormtrooper (Gun Pouch & Inner Suit), Dragon's Andy Lau Killer (Red Jacket), Sideshow Anakin Skywaler (Leather like half jacket) has shown some problems.

The worsts are Bandai Rider 1 & Dragon Andy Lau where the suits became sticky and the surface sticks on you hand, non repairable.

Medicom Stormtrooper Gun Pouch will probably suffer the same fate as the above while the inner suit cracks, comes out but you can still press the surface back to the suit.

Sideshow Anakin is brand new and only 1 week. The leather like part cracks though not as serious as the Stormtrooper you really need to becareful. I didn't expect him to come with leather suit.

Not sure if it's just me or it's the material they used, but I still have some figures with abit of leather like but as long as it's not the main part of the figure it should be ok. Ghost in the shell Kusanagi & Cobra seems to have full leather suit, which worries me especially when they are "Slim Fit" type.

I would like to know if leather protector works or not as it was not recommended by Medicom as they claim it's not real leather.


Anyone know if Medicom Rocketeer & Hot Toys Leon Kennedy Jacket are real Leather?
