i am totally behind torres and i stand to what i said several version before this that he is not getting the service from midfield. pity him. with the price tag, he is bound to try to prove himself but with current condition, i don't think he can do it.
we are so used with the kind of play when drogba is with us but soon people will realize that drogba's time is just around the corner and sooner or later, you'll have to change your style of play. drogba is a rare breed, the same with torres. but one is a brute, and the other one is classy. drogba justify his worth with people around him played to his strength but this is not the case for torres.
i am aware of a youngster nicked el-nino during his time at athletico and i am amazed when he destroyed us as a liverpool player. and since he is already a blue, i am going to support him through this rough situation. for me, i strongly believe he is our future.

http://www.chelseadaft.org/2012/02/torres-...-its-going.html"Torres was terrible the last game. He had some terrible games last season. But this year? Out of the 6 games played, I would say Torres was at least top 3 player in 5 of those games. He wasn't good against Swansea. But guess what, no one else was either!
Yes, he has to be more aggressive in the box. Attack crappy crosses etc. But at the end of the day, he plays the way he plays. Why is Chelsea ruining him by asking him to be a mediocre version of a Drogba? Even Drogba isn't a good version of Drogba nowadays. Why is it so impossible to lay down a handful of good passes for Torres to run onto each game? I posted a video in another post of Torres where he got 2 goals against Sunderland in 2010. He had THREE misses in the game in addition to those 2 goals. Strikers miss. I know BIG NEWS. But if you give your striker a handful of chances, he'll put one or two in. Right now Torres' range of chances per game run from 0 to 1. He needs to do better no doubt. I'll say it, sometimes he's pretty shit! But hey, there have been games where he's pretty good and yet doesn't get one single chance near goal. How sad is that?
I think it says a lot that in the last game, Lukaku came on for Malouda. Torres, the rightfooted CF, went back to play left wing/midfielder! It's not like Torres was going to be any worse than Malouda out there. And even though it was an off day for him, in the few minutes he played in that position, he managed a fantastic long over the top pass down the line for a either Cole/Essien to cross. The TV guy got a hump because Torres as the CF wasn't there for the cross. Then he shut it because it probably dawned on him that Torres made the pass from near middle of the field. Unfortunately, Torres will probably have to perfect the art of passing to himself for the rest of Chelsea career.
Lastly, Torres, recovering from 2 knee surgeries and a thigh muscle tear, still managed 9 goals for a crappy Liverpool team in half a season and change. And yet he's only had 5 goals in a year for Chelsea. Now, you tell me, what's wrong with this picture? If he had stayed with LFC in 2011, he was pace to finish with 15-18 goals and likely would have gotten over 20 playing with Suarez. And yet, he managed one goal with Chelsea.
I know many LFC fans despise him now and waste little opportunity to say how shit he is. But even some of them will shake their heads and ask why is Chelsea playing Torres all wrong. They are enjoying it of course! "
totally agree with this
