QUOTE(beawolf64 @ Aug 1 2013, 12:33 PM) easy to get in lfs...hahaha...moss u can find them at LYN market. still can't quite see the difference.. maybe this photo can help. Wild Betta Splenden [attachmentid=3564870] Wild Betta Imbellis [attachmentid=3564872] But they both belong to the same group..Betta Splenden complex i heard splendens are for fighting purposed and imbellis are meant to be kept, bred and for hobbyist, is that true? |

Hi, just notice that both sides of my betta's fin is not balance, like one side is clearly longer than another. Is this a disease or something? Is there any way i can fix it?

QUOTE(skyblu3 @ Sep 13 2013, 10:43 AM) I used to keep him in a bigger tank with one chinese algae eater until i find him sick yesterday night, the i move him into a small individual bowl to monitor him.the bigger tank come with a filter so i just changed 30% of the water last week(first time WC after i bought the tank and fish 1 month ago). I feed the betta pallets and some bloodworm alternatively. Not sure why is it like that suddenly tho. |

QUOTE(-kytz- @ Sep 13 2013, 11:18 AM) How long have you been keeping the betta in your bigger tank? About one month already..what do I need to do with my filter then? Is your filter mature already aka have enough beneficial bacteria to break down ammonia & nitrites? I'm suspecting ammonia poisoning.. Bought it from one of the shop from jalan pasar and set up with the tank right away. |

QUOTE(edmund90 @ Sep 13 2013, 01:07 PM) no worry about the ammonia stuff la, it will take years to get ammonia poison to the fish due to the amount of shit in the tank. betta r quite hardy fish. hmm okay..then i should figure out what happen to my betta first.i dont really care about those stuff. just make sure ur water is not contaminated then shud b ok. one day ago he was still swimming happily and chasing the algae eater around, then the next day he refuse to eat and looking really sick already... |
