Hi, just got myself a Betta plakat...or something like that.
I put it in a 0.75 gallon tank

Looks like after giving a few type of dried food, never eat.

Later a mosquito bite me and I manage to squash it and gave the Betta to eat, and was shocked it ate the mosquito liked it was its fav food

Cheers

Some mods I did to the Hob filter by adding foam to the opening to reduce water flow to the minimum, reroute the internal water flow in the Hob and also add BioRings....HOB is Nice88 model

rclxms.gif  rclxms.gif nice one!

btw, where and how much did u bought ur betta?
*
Cheap one...RM15, but I think I see other places selling RM5.

But I dun mind, I love that Betta, he was the most active one and looking like a fighter when I bought it.

Anyway, its a ferocious eater, but now I limit it to 2 times a day and about 10 micro pallets each feed
Once a while I feed it with ants or mosquito.

Thinking of getting a few more Bettas too.

Bettas are an interesting type of fish. I bought a veiltail betta fish. Btw, do you feed your betta fish bloodworm?
*
No, so far only pallets and small insects

I giving AZOO 9in1 Betta Pallets that's available at my taman Aquarium shop.
Probably trying out Hikari or Ocean Nutrition Betta.

Is bloodworm good for the Betta? I mean those Canned stuff?

Problems is most packing takes forever to finish by 1 Betta
Unless can share between a few buddies.

Thinking of getting those RM5 Betta water conditioner too, suppose to have Daun Ketapang content.

My aquarium:

thinking of DIY Betta leaf Hammock as well.

I've ordered this:

Too much for my Betta

Anyone wants to exchange 10grams with me with another food type?
Freezed mosquito larvae, Brime Shrimp, NLS Betta pallets, Betta Pro pallets etc OK.
So that Betta gets different menu instead of same thing everyday.

Exchange free of course other than postage. Use slow mail also OK.

Thx

Food Ocean Nutrition Betta pallet RM35 (pls postage) (Optional)
Hang on Filter RM17 (Nice88 Model)
Filter media RM15 (plus postage)
Lighting RM10 (3 LED)
Small cave RM5 (Daiso)
Anti Chlorine RM2... But i getting better ones, I use little only cos I keep water for a week for washing

This is for me new experience and knowledge.

Later I probably getting a fancier aquarium like Fluval edge 46l for a community tank.

Oh thanks for the breakdown. Am looking to start keeping betta. Yeah I was looking at the Fluval 5 gallon tank too but that's a chunk of money to spend on just the tank itself.
*
Fluval Spec is mostly for planted or small fish community tank.

It no point keeping a betta in a Fluval Spec without doing a planted aquarium.

For something simple, i rather get 2~3 mini aquariums (1~2 gallons) and keep a few Bettas instead of 1 lone Betta in a Fluval Spec 5 gal tank.
Once you play betta, you sure wanna get a few more. So keep the cost lower by getting a cheaper tank and a simpler setup.
Whatever it is, start with 1 1gal tank first. After you are confident, can add another one.

And Betta in a small tank dont like other fishes, maybe a small snail will do.

Please don't spend more than RM100 for a Betta tank, unless you decide to decorate it as well.

Cheers

Nice, the betta food also expensive one, you must really pamper your betta

Just wanna ask you a question.

I was thinking of getting 5 bettas to display in my living room. Those Marina EZ betta tank you got is the 2L or 2.5Liter ones? Looks a bit small.

The ezcare you can get it cheap as RM 28 in AEON Jusco Lazada selling at RM 31 or RM 32 you save around RM 4

It's the 2.5 litre but i think the 2 litre just enough didn't use the function for the adding water to clean it's for lazy people didn't work well furthermore the top of the aquarium have no cover you have to put something to keep the betta jumping away from your tank

Yeah those were Attison Betta pellets :-)

All betta were using Elken water filtering with black water ( almond extract )

Thanks for the info, i'll check it out. Trying to get a 3L tank cos afraid its too small. Overseas got sell the Marina 3L version. But after you say the 2.5L is good enough, i might just buy it. Cant find a proper betta tank locally, they are either too small, too thin and cheap material and not so presentable amd cost more than RM50.
