Just got a big-ear lavender. He's so tiny and cute! But super active. Going to try out some English Garden decaf tea. Wonder if the tannin will work as ketapang replacement.

QUOTE(LuQEE @ Jul 3 2012, 07:36 PM) so, how to differentiate livida, Coccina & Brownorum? Betta Livida more alike coccina...brownorum are very small in size...when spawning the realease a small small clutch of egg different to other species..Coccina are vary depend to the locality...Coccina Johor and Jambi have a lot of different...you can differenciate them by their look mean finnage, colour, patern and body structure..some say Livida Cyberjaya and Tanjung malim also have a different..Brownorum - is like the pic livida - like brownorum but with iridiscent colour on tail and abit on the body? coccina, lesser green spot on the body, got some vertical lines? sorry... im still learning to spot the differences |

Fingers crossed, hopefully no casualty. try providing alot of hiding places, lots of plants like cheapo java moss or those cheap egeria densa or elodea might be useful. also, try to feed him first before putting the females in. |
