how long can they tahan not eat? have to be away from home for 3-4 days

7 days...but kesian la to the betta fasting for 7 day

my betta's tail start to break... meaning the instead of a single D shape.. it's becoming multiple strands...

some said it's the interior plastic plants... but without the plants, the fish seems lethargic... if the plants are there, the fish swims a lot.

thanks.. huhu, yeah so kesian the betta. but i more afraid if bring them along balik kg, they might die on the way. will try look for some friend to 'adopt' them temporary.

going melaka and jb end of this week till tuesday....beside bobby chua any particular place i should visit?

JuSt got back from bobby place in melaka......lucky wife and kids follow if not koyak my pocket .....he was busy aswell coz got several shipment to europe, us and local....but all betta worth it man .....i myself end up with few....even that wife already

Saw some Dumbo betta last weekend at LFS. So so so tempted to buy

Don’t know how female can escaped and jump into the male tank..

Just realized it when i came back from holiday yesterday..
Plus i'm going to outstation for next week..

1 of my fav plakat hm is r.i.p....i dont know what happen...it was ok this morning and still eating when i feed them around 6 am....can see lotsa bubbles...but when i got back from cycling around 10.30 pm its gone (i didnt check them when i got back from office around 6 pm plus ( only realize when i'm about to feed them)...2 more showing same symptoms...dunno what went wrong....i change water 3 days ago and using another type of blackwater (cheaper brand)....this could be the culprits...today i change all the water and using tetra aqua blackwater see of they can survive in the morning...very sad...its a show grade plakat hm i got from bobby chua.....i hope the salamander and the full red masked dont go to heaven aswell....coz both is show quality one....all my plakat hm is from him one....sadddd lah if all gone....

usually show grade will die faster...

may i know why? too stressed?

for real? anyway the other 2 is getting better now no more at the bottom but like floating on top water now....will give them 2 more days....

I transferred my betta to my comet pond. Didn't see him on the following day until 4 days later (yesterday) I found him dead at the bottom of the tank. But he's still one piece and didn't loose colour. What could have happened? Did he just die???

guys/girls where to buy good bettas? i ive in shah alam area

i stop using black water extract long time ago. it does not seem to help my bettas at all. Better to use ketapang leave and a pinch of salt bro.

Added on June 12, 2012, 9:33 amhaha..you are so true edmund.that is the challenge of our hobby. to keep the fish healthy and to SPAWN off course. By the way i got 4 giants hmpk(3 from pichet 1 from joey chai), 1 half giant from pichet (lesson learned..do not buy young giant..it may turn out true giant or in my case just half giant), 1 melano HM and 2 super black hmpk..

well i was a lil bit cheapskate that day buying another brand of blackwater...i normally use Tetra brand of blackwater but dunno why i purposely bought another bottle/brand and use that new one on that particular day.....yes i use ketapang leaves but never use salt.....anyway the other 2 is back to normal ! saw them making lotsa bubbles and eating well too.....
