Would love to see the video of this incident.. About throwing objects, sad to say it is quite a norm for malaysian football now. If what you said about the monkey gestures is true, FAM should take action on them. It is a disgusting behaviour.
I applaud the T'ganu fans during the game itself. There were like any other Away team who were there to have a day out. But it was post-match when things got ugly. The home fans were having a go at the Security after the scuffle, then things were thrown at us by the Away fans, and then us the locals question the Security why aren't they doing their job controlling the T'ganu fans and coming after Singaporean fans instead, and that is where I believe all hell break loose. I hope videos of the incident would surface on YouTube somehow. I almost lost the plot myself, totally angry with the security and away fans, videos and photos were secondary then.FYI, Francis Doe was relentlessly booed throughout the game for unsporting behaviour, for which he was cautioned by the referee, so he ought to do self-reflection himself as to why the locals treated him with disgust. But to respond so ungraciously towards the home fans, we never had to witness such ungentlemanly act ever. He certainly played a part in the fueling the post-match hostility.
I hope any T'ganu fans who were at JBS tonight can share his side of the story. It's true that we were rude, but it is expected coming to an Away ground. But was the throwing of missiles itself an isolated event or a result of a provocation? The swarming of Security staff around the segregation barrier just before the final whistle was certainly tell-signs of things to come.
