How long can a 4 Gb record (HDmode) ?
What happen if exceed recording capacity ?

The recording is base on first come first out basis. The oldest file is auto purged when the capacity is full. You could set the recording time in the menu setup, if you set 5 minutes then every file contain 5 min recording, that mean the file is purged 5 minutes by 5 minutes.

Are these cameras (this one and the lower end one) easily detachable? Afraid that they'll be targets for thieves if I leave them in the car.

Sorry for the late as I am still over sea.

To be frank, it could easily detach by unhook from the mounting unit. However, i think the car audio unit will be more valuable than DVR, I have been using this DVR for one year and it is safe in my car as I close the screen when I leave my car.

I did not sell rear camera because it is not easy to install and hiding the the cable.

Added on January 4, 2012, 11:13 pmI did not sell SD card, you could buy in any IT shop, now SD card is very cheap 16GB less than RM100 depend on the brand.

The is DVR, it record as video file 10frame/sec, you could set the video file as 2 minutes per files or every 5 minutes per file.

Taking photos is possible by adhoc snap the photo.

The entry model is firm price as it has been discounted.

The none HD model could be edit using Microsoft Movie Maker. For the HD model, because it is using H.264 compression, have to use Video Editor support H.264 such as http://www.avs4you.com/AVS-Video-Editor.aspx. There are many free video editor support H.264 available in Google.

Regarding the DVR battery, you can use PC USB port to charge or the Cigg Adaptor to charge. The package included PC USB cable and Cigg Adaptor, the battery is auto charging while your cigg adaptor is plug in and car engine start.

The suction mounting required smooth surface, however never tested in Superbike.
I would suggest you get advise from motorbike workshop to modify the mounting as per below photo :


Another factor you have to consider is water proof and theft if you mount on the Superbike.

The night lamp is the yellow LED as per shown in the photos which could be use for night vision as well.

Received my DVR today...The build quality of the DVR is not of some cheap cheap one... even though the LCD is only 2" but the picture quality is very sharp. Tested the HDMI output to my LCD TV...quality is fine but got some noise issue....Not bad for the price ! Fast shipping and excellent seller ! Thanks nicety !

Yes, the car DVR is hook to the suction cup that install on the windscreen. Dun worry about the reliability of the suction cup as I have tested more than a year before I introduce it in LYF.

The Car DVR is connect to the cigarette power adapter, as soon as your car engine start the DVR auto start recording, no human intervention required.

The DVR will auto stop recording when your car engine stop. If you would like to continue recording while away from car, just start the recording manually via battery. But bear in mind that the battery only sustain for 1-2 hours.

Thumbs up for this seller...really fast shipping and I can't found a cheaper one everywhere for the 1080p DVR except only from him !!!

Have bought both the 720p and 1080p. I sold my 720p and bought a second unit of 1080p for my other vehicle due the reason of the video quality and 140 degree angle of view.

Ask yourself first...why do you buy a Car DVR ? To record untoward incidents and evidence while on the road right ?

I am a photographer myself, So I know what is important when capturing a video or image because a special moments does not wait for you... So a wider angle and better video quality will ensure you won't miss a thing in the photography world...this also applies to a Car DVR...So choose wisely even thought price is a little higher. You won't be disappointed !

Hello Bro, the sound was due to the car shaking where the DVR record your interior vibrating sound from the car. IF you noticed, the sound stop when your car slow down.
