yes indeed its the same problem.
sometimes open the panel, touched the grommets at the back..
maybe the rubber residue? hmm.gif
*
before this i sent my 500R i/o panel for RMA. when i got it back (new one), all the connectors' cables will give out the same black residue just like 1qazqaz picture. Could be they have cheapen out the cost and use black powder to coat it i dunno. It is staining my white case quite annoyingly.

it would be really nice if Corsair can provide adapter for their proprietary fan headers in the Carbide series especially the 500R.at least we can replace the front fan and still be able to use the case integrated fan speed controller.

this is a corsair casing thread.of course we'll choose the corsair 500R. tongue.gif /jk. but i personally own a 500R.great cable management, very sturdy built quality, plenty of space to work with, pretty silent..cant say much bout other casing coz never had experience with it except CM690 which is great too but not as pretty.

planning to get the 330R, but i saw many of you, are using the Corsair Water Cooling, regardless or H80 or H100i, i was thinking to use Noctua ND-14 only.. is it okay ar? and i plan to Max the Intake for this case, is it advisable?

forgot to mention.. my concern is quiet...
*
i have that same cooler Nh-D14 but in a slightly different case (Corsair 500R) with maximum fans mounted. The cooler itself is really quiet and the only noise from my pc is from the side panel 200mm fan (more like sound of moving air). So I think for a noise optimised case like 330R, should be no problem with any noise. The only thing I doubt is fitting that cooler because its height is already 160mm and that case also only have 160mm clearance so it will be very tight. Go double check that online.

thank you so much for your review, it really helps me a lot~~ notworthy.gif
i was still in the middle of hunting case, but the case is recommended by the Noctua Seller himself, i think should be okay, and i found this~~

http://www.vortez.net/articles_pages/corsa...r_review,7.html

it did say the cooler is supported...

another question, when you Max out the fans, all using normal casing fan or Noctua as well, in order to maintain the quietness.
*
Yeah I think the case should have enough clearance for the NH-D14. Later you can adjust the fans placement.

I'm using all cooler master generic 120mm fans for all intake and exhaust except the side panel intake using corsair's standard 200mm case fan. I hate LEDs. All connected to the motherboard fan headers and control the speed in BIOS.

I suggest you just get whatever case fans you like, as long as they are not the high speed one (anything above 1200rpm). The 330R is already a quiet case so there should be no problem. Maybe get something like the bitfenix spectre pro or noiseblocker blacksilent pro/multiframe or even Noctua NF-P12/F12 if you have the budget.
