Hi, can anyone tell me who or what company I can contact if I want to cut down some trees inside my house compound? Previous owner planted them and now the trees are higher than my roof. Thanks in advance

Hi, can anyone tell me who or what company I can contact if I want to cut down some trees inside my house compound? Previous owner planted them and now the trees are higher than my roof. Thanks in advance

Trick the local authority come, pay him to cut your inside the how tree. Even can cut your grass if pay

Where got so easy. For my case (MPSJ), they will come survey than let you know what they will do, and dateline for completion. 2 and 1/2 month.

In my case (DBKL), tree beside my house, already 6 months yet they still don't come and cut.

Let me elaborate, maybe some experts here can give me some solid advise. The house that I bought is in a gated community where I have to pay maintenance and sinking fund. The trees were planted by previous owner and management. When I approached the management to have the trees cut down, they told me its not covered in the sinking fund. And I have to look for people to cut it down myself. So my question is, what are my rights here? Doesn't the maintenance fees covers this kind of scenerios? What if I leave it as it is and the tree gets uprooted and hit my house, can I take legal action against the management? I have no clue...

Your by-laws would state this clearly.I would recommend getting a copy for your own knowledge and to understand your rights. Wow... Didn't know I could sound semi-lawyerish. Hahahaha.... |

Management fund only can be used for common properties, and for your case it is clearly not a common property. Whatever inside your property is your responsibility. If the tree get uprooted, and destroy common property, the management has the right of legal action/compensation against you, not the other way round. |

Technically if u remove a gov tree, u will need to pay them to replace, depending on how old is the tree. if u are gutsy, you can remove it, then please do replace with a nicer tree. Do take note, if its a nice/expensive tree, removing it will attract attention, u need to inform your authorities. Removing a expensive old tree will cost u tens of Ks...to pay them back. If u remove the tree and NOT planting anything, its rather selfish.. 3. It sounds like its a massive tree of 10 to 20 year old? Removing it at the fastest time is to pay with your own money. It is not cheap though. U need to get landscaping guys to de-branch, using a crane. These ppl need to rent such crane and it is rather costly, depending on the size of the tree. Then they need to get a lorry and container to remove the debris and tree. 4. You need to re-soil. 5. Authorities will not remove the tree for you unless it is causing your property damages and it is not healthy. Then u save the money, but it is time-consuming and they may not approve. how it helps. If the tree did not pose any danger for you now, you have little base ground, to ask the management to cut down the tree. Sorry to say, the above bolded statement actually is a weak reason to ask for management to pay for it. Ask for trimming may be, has some ground, instead of cutting down. |

My developer saved money by planting lousy trees.. if yours is nice, not bad already. after your explanation, in this case, you can get the authorities to cut the branches for u. they will acknowledge it is hazardous to your property. If the tree is inferior quality, you can remove it and plant a nicer tree. No private management will help u destroy a tree, it cost alot of money and unnecessary funds to do it for u. the logistic is expensive. The sinking fund is to improve the common properties like bumps, landscaping, cleanliness of common area, repainting, maintenance of walls/fences, recreational facilities etc. To do it fast, find reputable landscaping companies to give u quote for removing branches. Its faster to remove the branches using your money. |
