Btw, from Maxis's invitation email, it states that the event starts at 9pm on Thursday night (13th December 2012). So any of you going to be there by 9pm or earlier??

Cool. That's pretty early!! Guess you will probably be the first in line! I'm still thinking whether to go at 9pm or 10pm.

For me, I think the first slot (12am to 4am) will be the most fun. And I don't want to get stuck in the Friday evening/night rush hour jam.

If I'm not mistaken, event start at 9pm, then first time-slot for pre-registered ROI is 12am to 4am.

If you already get an email from them, then you need to quickly confirm your time slot and package and they will send a confirmation to you which you must print as your 'ticket' to the event. There is no option to purchase outright, but you can try your luck once you are there I guess

And from the confirmation I did before, I don't think there's an option for outright. I remember only seeing iValue package plans which we can choose from.

No, it you have reserved, then the unit should have been allocated for you already.

As long as you make it before 2pm, should be fine.

However, to be safe, don't wait til 1.30pm as due to the HOTNESS of iPhone 5, your reserved unit might even be sold off by unscrupulous staff.

Exactly what I'm thinking too. That's why I will be queueing up pretty early even though I have a reserved unit for 12am-4am slot on 14th December 2012.

Based on people's experiences, the reservation of units with Maxis Service Centres is not that reliable, some people ended up getting their units much much later as there is no official procedure to reserve units at Maxis service centres, this was during the era of previous iPhones. Not sure if they have improved now.

Warranty Issue? Mind telling? Maybe I missed it earlier.

I did claim my iPhone 4 (home button prob) earlier with Maxis, and got 1-to-1 immediate exchange on the spot.

For the iPhone 4 Maxis Launch I went, only pre-ordered customers could enter the hall.

However, once you are inside I think can easily buy more than 1 outright if they don't control properly.

Or you can save the Passbook ticket to your iPhone and bring it there.

I have already saved mine in my iPhone 5. Hope they won't bar me entry seeing I already have one.

Are you sure? I was there at Maxis Launch (2nd Day at Gardens) and they did check confirmation slip before allowing anyone inside. Or maybe later on in the day they allowed perhaps?
