Can extend, just refer contract extension. As long as old plus new is no more that 30 months is a no biggie. Yeah, totally Understand how u feel as I too called customer service and 2 of 3 gave me the wrong solution I.e:
- no u can't do contract extension since u got 12 months to go (out of 24)
- oh u have to cancel n pay penalty n take new plan.
(Hope maxis is watching n will educate customer service better)
*
the penalty to cancel the contract is damn expensive. like RM600 suck blood one.

http://www.maxis.com.my/personal/iphone/contract.asp

yea the contract limit is 30 months ! so you extend your contract make sure it dont over 30 months !

What does it means ? No invitation although I am Maxis One Club member, I still need to queue for the phone ? So Sad!
*
this mean you doesn't have the invitation. or maybe you have it but the booking time already closed so you're late

No, you're free to switch any plans, any telcos, or maintaining the current iValue plan.

only 1 year warranty.

malaysia apple iphone always only 1 year warranty!!!!

because we have no option to purchase apple care for iphone like in USA customers.
*
maxis provided 2 years warranty for 2 years contract user.

Hi there,

Need some advice.

I had already pre-booked my slot on 16 December to pick-up the iphone 5. My current iphone 4S contract with Maxis will expire on September 2013. If I understand the information from Maxis website, I can go for a contract extension of 12 months since my total contract period doesn't exceed 30 months ie. 9 remaining months + 12 extended months (new contract).

Correct me if I am wrong. I don't want to go to all the way to KL (Capsquare) and later being told I cannot upgrade my contract.  cry.gif
*
Yes you can extract your contract with no problem

QUOTE(ise @ Dec 11 2012, 08:49 PM)
Oh man.. Maxis offer me iphone 5 for RM999..summore advance payment 800 also waived...

Now using note 2..current plan family plus and unlimited data..

Er very tempting.. Should i take or not?
*
I'd used both iPhone 5 and note 2, tbh I like note 2 more and currently also using note 2.. The s pen features really in love with the phone much and also the large screen. You can easily take the phone and plan then terminate your current plan and take the iPhone 5 sell simply earn a 1.2k d

Have a stupid question here.....for Maxis launch event.
I have booked a 32GB Black and my friend have booked a 32GB White.
But my friend decided not to buy alr.....but he'll b going together with me.
Do u think i can take his 32GB White?
*
Sure you can do it. But you have to take two numbers and 2 plan. Cos booking phone must be make with plan.

Actually the advance payment waived doesn't counted as discount also. We paid advance payment but the monthly commitment will reduce too. So same

I can't see the attractiveness in this MOC offer. Not unless you are prepared to take up Ivalue 2 on a 24 month contract already, then it's a bonus.

Why? For a measly $150 extra rebate, that's around $7 per month over 2 years, you are either stuck for a longer period and/or for a higher commitment on services you may underutilize.  If u guys are taken in to the advance payment waived BS, you are real suckers.

To those who intend to take Ivalue 1 and/or 12 month contract, you're better off sticking with it.
*
Advance payment waived is the biggest offer. Just like doing installment.

No worries man. Apple launch that fast for their next generation, the stock will be lesser too. Which mean Malaysia have to wait longer. Approximately October November.

i am in the middle of decidde which telco plan to take now. celcom or maxis.... previous was a maxis user for many years but after bill shock jump to digi smart plan... now maxis no longer hv bill shock issue plan to come back. the maxis iphone plan i like mostly is the more call min and some more free maxis to maxis call for 1000 min as mostly my fren using maxis line...

while celcom offer more data then call.

anyway, i am now a android user, current data traffic usage monthly for me was around 2gb. i am not sure when i switch to iphone, will my data traffic increase or not..
*
Make a calculation, see your call charged more overall or the extra 1gb charged more. Than your can apply for extra data with a fee. Mean some months you use lesser than don't apply for that

i think mostly i will take maxis package....so far is 60% over maxis and 40% over celcom..... next week might mnp to maxis back...
1 more question i want to ask , i think might b answer before  :

the free 333 min for all telco for ivalue1 plan, and the free 1000 min maxis to maxis call.... so if i call to fren with maxis line, it will use up the 1000 min and not 333 min ? or it will use up the 333 min first then only use the 1000 min  ?
*
Maxis 1333 minutes to maxis. No free to others

I received moc email too,
but based on my previous 12 month phone charges records,

I'll stick to ivalue 1 with 12 months contract.
Who knows ip6 comin next year with bigger screen wink.gif
*
Yes I don't actually recommend the MOC ivalue 2 cos 155 for 2 years is too expensive already. Cheat you little give you better phone offer only. And since apple say 5s launch next year June reach here about October November

Guys if I take I value 1 plan and the later decide its not sufficient, I can upgrade to ivalue 2 mid cycle right? Or does the contract get extended?
*
This is impossible. Contract extension can if you buy 1 more phone. You can apply more data rm48 1gb 38 500 mb for Maxis
