I used more than 1GB of data from my iValue1 plan this month & wasn't charge any extra amount on data. So the SMS from Maxis is real

Can extend, just refer contract extension. As long as old plus new is no more that 30 months is a no biggie. Yeah, totally Understand how u feel as I too called customer service and 2 of 3 gave me the wrong solution I.e:
- no u can't do contract extension since u got 12 months to go (out of 24)
- oh u have to cancel n pay penalty n take new plan.
(Hope maxis is watching n will educate customer service better)

because we have no option to purchase apple care for iphone like in USA customers.

maxis only allow to book one phone per number. Can't book another phone with one number.

Need some advice.

I had already pre-booked my slot on 16 December to pick-up the iphone 5. My current iphone 4S contract with Maxis will expire on September 2013. If I understand the information from Maxis website, I can go for a contract extension of 12 months since my total contract period doesn't exceed 30 months ie. 9 remaining months + 12 extended months (new contract).

Correct me if I am wrong. I don't want to go to all the way to KL (Capsquare) and later being told I cannot upgrade my contract. 

Oh man.. Maxis offer me iphone 5 for RM999..summore advance payment 800 also waived...

Now using note 2..current plan family plus and unlimited data..

I have booked a 32GB Black and my friend have booked a 32GB White.
But my friend decided not to buy alr.....but he'll b going together with me.
Do u think i can take his 32GB White?

I can't see the attractiveness in this MOC offer. Not unless you are prepared to take up Ivalue 2 on a 24 month contract already, then it's a bonus.

Why? For a measly $150 extra rebate, that's around $7 per month over 2 years, you are either stuck for a longer period and/or for a higher commitment on services you may underutilize.  If u guys are taken in to the advance payment waived BS, you are real suckers. 

To those who intend to take Ivalue 1 and/or 12 month contract, you're better off sticking with it.

I got this email too, but as I'm not a MOC member, the content was changed a little. Price seems to be the same as the MOC promo though.

i am in the middle of decidde which telco plan to take now. celcom or maxis.... previous was a maxis user for many years but after bill shock jump to digi smart plan... now maxis no longer hv bill shock issue plan to come back. the maxis iphone plan i like mostly is the more call min and some more free maxis to maxis call for 1000 min as mostly my fren using maxis line...

while celcom offer more data then call.

anyway, i am now a android user, current data traffic usage monthly for me was around 2gb. i am not sure when i switch to iphone, will my data traffic increase or not..

i think mostly i will take maxis package....so far is 60% over maxis and 40% over celcom..... next week might mnp to maxis back...
1 more question i want to ask , i think might b answer before  :

the free 333 min for all telco for ivalue1 plan, and the free 1000 min maxis to maxis call.... so if i call to fren with maxis line, it will use up the 1000 min and not 333 min ? or it will use up the 333 min first then only use the 1000 min  ?

I'll stick to ivalue 1 with 12 months contract.

Guys if I take I value 1 plan and the later decide its not sufficient, I can upgrade to ivalue 2 mid cycle right? Or does the contract get extended?
