Would like to share my 1st house experience (not TTDI AI) 5 years ago.
The lawyer ask me to pay the MOT and I paid it by cheque without thinking too much.
The cheque has been bank-in after 2 days.
After half year, there is no news from laywer about the individual title.
I ask the lawyer the status. The lawyer said it is still in developer master title. The developer will do the transfer SOON. The money is kept by the lawyer upfront. =.=''
Just imagine, 1 MOT cost is 10++K. if the all the property owner pay to the lawyer, the lawyer can get at least 1Million and keep in their account to earn interest.
At last, the individual title is only out after 2 more years.
So, at least i learn something from my past experience. Only pay the MOT when the developer start the title transfer process.

Wa so smart arr those lawyer... I will not pay anything unless the payee is Pemungut Duti Setem...
