it can't be..all is preinstalled with 12gb ddr3 ram, i mean the european model( g55vw-ds71)...unless it is a totally different model..ask them the full specs and THE FULL MODEL IF THIS PARTICULAR LAPTOP THEY SELLING...

to confirm with the service center in malaysia..do like what i did with my g55vw-s1095v..before i purchased it, i ask seller the serial no of the g55 im going to buy..with the serial no, i called asus hotline and ask them to verify the serial no whether it can be serviced or not in the future and whether it is ori or not..after conformation then only i buy the g55vw..

iF GOT NO PROBlem WITH SERVICE CENTER and they can verify serial no, then only get it bro..SO YOU NEED TO ASK HIM THE SERIAL NO TOO, for verification purpose

Just got an update from Andrew of Gadgetzone.
The 2 units that they currently have is is G55VW-S1095V model.
The current batch that they have do not come with the free backpack.
The 2nd batch however, will come with the backpack.

it is not like the g75 where you can see the subwoofer..it is built in, cannot see..i can be sure that got 3 speakers in the g55(left right and subwoofer)

to prove it, go to the sound options at bottom right..there you can uncheck the 2.1..if you uncheck, the subwoofer will off and if you check, the subwoofer will on..big sound difference..try it bro

yes..that sound is the subwoofer..the volume you set at 2 is for the left and right speaker only( not the subwoofer) ..i had learnt that cannot control the subwoofer volume using the volume buttons..only can control from application like windows media player..

should be around 230 only bro..cannot be over rm400, maybe different la..but please do check whether the g55 can enter the bag or not b4 buying it..most of the 15 to 17 inch bag cannot fit the g55..the g55 is big and thick towards the back.
