QUOTE(Arvinaaaaa @ May 21 2012, 09:54 AM) wait..you serious? i cant see anything..you mean the vent is covered with a plastic layer? or the plastic is inside the vent? please xplain bro. Err, now at office, cant take picture, the vent got holes but inside your right hand side vent, there is a black plastic covered it, so no heat coming from inside, compare it with left hand side vent which is not covered. |

QUOTE(Arvinaaaaa @ May 21 2012, 03:27 PM) wait..it all make sense now..the right vent mostly closed because the battery is there..asus dont want to let the hot air from laptop to flow to battery..so they closed the vent that is infornt of the battery ..towards the left of the right vent, no more battery so they opened the vent..thats y the vent is blocked cause asus dont want to let hot air to flow to the battery, and the small place towards the left is for the hot air..that is just my assumption..high temperature from hot air will spoil battery..what you think? I actually thought of this also, since all of our units also share the same designs, but we need clarification from asus rog expert and asus support also. |

QUOTE(edkhailiang @ May 21 2012, 05:28 PM) it may seems tat both open vents will blow out air easier. but scientifically, when one vent is 100% open and the other is juz slightly open, air flow is more effective. tis is because they are of different pressure. when air are pushes inside towards the narrow vent, it is at a higher pressure, it will flow directly towards the bigger vent. hence, this may be a more effective air flow system. tis is the same as opening a can of condensed milk, where u nid an additional small hole for it to flow out thru the big hole tat u buka wif the can opener thingy. |
