I have a big big question here Brothers and Sisters.
I just changed to Digi 1 month ago with Digi Postpaid Plus 48. And I just got my smartphone and I wanted to change to Digi Smartplan 48. I have called to Digi to ask about this and they tell me I would be charge in Pro-rata basis on changing to this. (I don't understand Pro-rata charges) Then i said ok, as long as i can get this changed. Yesterday, went to The Gardens' Digi Center to change it, the Lady said I will have to use for 3 months 1st if not I will be charge in Pro-Rata rate, and I said ok, tell me how to calculate this and I wanna get this changed... Then after she did some checking with her computer, she just simply tell me that I can't change and I will have to wait till September. WHAT THE HXXL IS WRONG WITH DIGI. CALL THEM NEED FREAKING LONG TIME TO REACH THE PEOPLE AND NOW THEY TELL ME LIKE THIS =.= |

QUOTE(dgboy @ Jul 12 2012, 08:18 PM) I'm still trying to find out what DiGi's notice on sim card hijacking is actually about. But I don't think it relates to Facebook Zero. All these so-called Zero services (Facebook, DiGiLive, and etc) have limitation that the service is only free for accessing certain web addresses... as soon as you move outside, for example by clicking on a link or an advert, you will be subject to data charges. And you must use digiwap as the APN. I am connecting to Zero.facebook.com using the opera mini >>uncategorized (access points) DiGi WAP , This is the settings that I have been using but still, when i get my bill. I see that Digi is still charging me , not just a few cents but sometimes almost reaching a few bucks. OTL From the FAQ page: Is Facebook Zero free? Yes, Facebook Zero is FREE of Internet charges - as long as you surf within the boundaries of the FB Zero site using ONLY the digiwap APN (Access Point Name). Browsing images and videos will incur Internet charges. Similarly, leaving the FB Zero site to the normal Facebook Mobile site (http://m.facebook.com ) will also incur normal Internet charges. I am very careful not to click those image links or divert to non-zero websites Thanks for your response so far |

I think you need to set the access point inside the Opera Mini settings rather than your connection settings. If digiwap is under the uncategorised apn then you most likely have diginet as your main internet apn and Opera Mini could be using that. I am very careful not to click those image links or divert to non-zero websites Thanks for your response so far 2. But I've also encountered problem with free stuff under DiGi... Last year it was free music download where i got stung for RM5 despite taking great trouble to follow DiGi's instruction. DiGi reimbursed me for that. But after the experience I decided so-called free offerings were not worth the hassle. Now I always avoid them. This post has been edited by dgboy: Jul 16 2012, 10:41 AM |

QUOTE(dgboy @ Jul 15 2012, 03:39 PM) 1. Are you sure the extra charges relate to facebook zero and not possibly some other program or update on your phone? okie dokie, i will do that. my phone is the nokia5530XM by the way.2. Another thing you can try is deleting all other DiGi access points (if your phone model allows this). 3. Other than that i think you can only pursue the matter with DiGi, and complain to CFM if DiGi cannot resolve it. 4. I've also encountered problem with free stuff under DiGi... the Network icon keep on changing from 3G to H most of the time...but usually it turns to H. How can I maintain a good 3G connection whenever I turn on the Network Mode?? |
