It's probably because they are doing the upgrading works for their Tomorrow Network project.

Exactly, this is a great shame as DChat is by far the best Customer Service channel that DiGi offers

I'm using IE9 and Chrome, neither acceptable to DiGi

Hopeless

By the way, has anyone tried using DChat from smartphone browser?

I'm really confused of how Digi plan with new phone works.

Example:

1)for 24 months of DG Smart Plan 48

Samsung GALAXY S II (Noble Black) RM 1399.00
DG Smart Plan 48 (Advance Payment for Plan) RM 48.00
Device Advance Payment RM 250.00
Delivery Fees (Delivery Terms and Conditions) RM 0.00
Total Price RM 1697.00

2)for 12 months of DG Smart Plan 48

Samsung GALAXY S II (Noble Black) RM 1599.00
DG Smart Plan 48 (Advance Payment for Plan) RM 48.00
Device Advance Payment RM 50.00
Delivery Fees (Delivery Terms and Conditions) RM 0.00
Total Price RM 1697.00

I know they try to keep the total prices around the same. What's the purpose of the Device Advance Payment? They change some of the device price to device advance payment sounds the same to me, since you're still paying RM48 for every following month, right? the price of the phone in total is still the same for both tenure anyway.

The incentive is that if you commit to 1 year, you only need to pay less upfront?

simple. They afraid you "run away" with the phone after you subscribe the plan. (you get a phone at cheap price if you subscribe the 1 or 2 years plan)

so, they charge you in full first, thats include device advance payment. the advance payment will be given back to you on monthly basis throughout your contract period.

therefore, in case you 'run away' with the phone, digi don't have to 'beg' you to pay for the termination charges so hard.

why.., digi always has poor coverage.. everywhere. i thought the yellow man can even swim, and travel throughout??? they retired????

in hilly area, the line decreases...and then gone case.. cant even make emergency calls. any idea when will they upgrade their coverage ?? Kedah area, semeling and bedong. unstable coverage.. always... (where as maxis and celcom are always FULL BAR coverage) hmm...

GSM1800 used by digi is design for urban area. So unless digi got GSM/3G 850 band license digi coverage always suck.
