I argue with DG for two years over their refusing to allow me to switch plan from Best to Easy. In the end, I complain via CFM. And still they refuse. It is just DG policy, so I let my number terminate after that. Maybe you port out to U Mobile to punish DG?

According to DG website TnC, for the monthly plans speed is throttled to 64kbps after exceeding the quota (unless using Opera Mini, when the max speed remains at 384kbps).

Super Long Life is still available under RM30 per year (for Best plan only).

However, you need a minimum RM35 credit balance, or else it will not even appear as a menu option.

It's available for a total of 7 days - your actual birthday, 3 days before it and 3 days after it.

Expiring or terminating?

You cannot transfer credit out if your line is in inactive state (grace period).

Any credit remaining will be forfeited upon termination. However, if it is not too late, you could do a mini top up or talktime transfer into your line to reactivate it for a couple days or more. You could then transfer out some of the credit, but I believe at least RM10 must remain.

I knew about the new short validity of birthday bonus, so this year I only top up RM10 on my birthday. I figured I should be able to burn RM5 bonus within 30 days.

Problem is I forget the another new rule, that minimum top up to qualify is now RM30. So I got nothing. The 10 days validity from the top up already expired, and my line is hibernating again. I'll let DG sweat for a while.

Yes, that's right. Once you updated the plan you can choose super long life.

Found out that DG Prepaid upped their RM30 monthly data from 750 MB to 1 GB already. And RM18 monthly from 250 to 300 MB.

Yep, competition good for consumer..

DG's problem is less spectrum allocation than the other big telcos.

yup, switching between Best and Easy is not allowed by DG..

no worries, the credit is associated with your account

it's not stored in your sim card

so change the sim with DG won't affect your credit

my answer assumes you're not changing plan or telco

quite likely the website out of date, that page was added when nano SIM first came out and there was limited stock

sold my 4G hp last weekend

prepaid user of DG stuck with 3G speed, not even 3.5G allowed
