It's actually the same...phone price is still 1399 when u calculate everything...
For example Note 2 with 24mths contract = RM1399

For EPP Note 2, it will be RM 1399 + RM88x24mths = RM1399 + RM2112
So total amount DiGi will BLOCK from ur credit limit is RM 3511
Then pay to ur bank every mth is RM 146.30 (this is only for phone and Internet)
Calls, SMS, MMS etc still pay to DiGi

Phone price becomes RM2119 (the correct price is 2119 in DiGi website) because they changed the monthly RM88 to RM58. That means every month u're paying RM30 less but this RM30 x 24mths = RM720 add up to the phone price (RM1399 + RM720 = RM2119)

Difference is when u purchase with one time payment...u have to pay RM600 advance payment but this amount will be used to offset ur monthly bills...

That rm600 will be used to pay your bill until used up. If you use rm60 every month, no need to pay bill for 10 month.

Justt like rm600 prepaid.

Btw, do you guys think they will re-stocked Xperia S? Or maybe bring in the lumia 620? Im really interested in these phones.

i'm a digi postpaid customer, and my contract almost ended. i want to get lumia 920, the problem is only digi offers the phone with plan. should i suffer with digi for 1 more year (assuming im taking 1 year contract), or should i just get the phone outright, and port to other telco?

or is digi getting better these days?

Depend on location and plan I guess. For me, smart plan really suits my need.

I'll be in KL most of the time. so far i don't really have complaints, except when I go out of town the line freaking sucks, and I admit the speed is slower compare to others, which is kinda annoying.


but my bb has been RIP for quite sometime (3-4 months), and I've been using my spare phone, so I don't know how's DiGi is like now, because my spare phone cannot do web surfing, fb twitter etc....can only sms or call. Is DiGi's getting any better, worse, or just the same as the last 1 and half year? if it's the latter, i think i can bare with it for 1 more year.

I like the RM600 prepaid answer hehe. Very simple and easy to understand

The RM600 u paid will be used to deduct ur monthly bills for the 1st few months depending on ur usage...for example...u paid RM 600 and then 1st month bill is RM100 so u will have another RM500 to use for the next bill(s)

So let's say ur monthly bill every month is RM100...so u won't need to pay ur bill for 6mths. If ur usage montly (Internet + usage) is 300+ so it will last for 2 mths only

Finally the xperia s is restocked. Sadly cannot buy because cannot upgrade from my digi prepaid to smartplan. The thing I cannot brain is that if prepaid from other telco, can use mnp to dmartplan, but not from digi prepaid...

i still have 1 yr contract with digi. can i sign for the new 88 smart plan

I have been arguing with DiGi on the similar matter since they introduced Easy plan in 2010. Wanted to update my Best number to Easy. DiGi just said no many times. Even filed complaint to CFM. And still DiGi insist prepaid users are not allowed to change plan, without any explanation of that policy. Finally, I have given up and gonna let that DiGi line lapse in March. I decided that DiGi simply do not deserve my business.
