Can all 1186 chipset players properly play MKV muxed with HD Audio?

Nowadays many people upload high quality 1080p MKV that is muxed with 7.1 DTS-HD MA.

I want the media player to bitstream pass through the 7.1 HD audio to the AV receiver of my home theater.

Does the V12+ support movie folder art?

can play hd audio.. AVR can bitstream (dtshd and dolby 7.1). tested.


folder art?. just put jpg into folder. can view it.

yangxi, did you test it with with mkv file or m2ts file?

I'm worried with mkv muxed with hd audio. I don't have problem with bluray copied m2ts though.

Yes. I'm still using my BlueAngel H10R. It's rock stable and runs great thumbup.gif ...although it doesn't have the pretty movie art and background plus info view that newer player offers. Besides the corroded USB port issue that I told you a few years ago, there's no problem at all.

Since I got some m2ts file, I had also bought myself a Sony S380 Bluray player as a media player too. In terms of media file, it plays my normal MKV (muxed with typical Dolby or DTS 5.1 lossy audio) and m2ts file properly... but subtitle rendering is super ugly. Hence, I don't see a need to upgrade my player.

Now, I've got myself 2 MKV that is muxed with 7.1 DTS HD MA. It's a surprise to me that the bluray player cannot playback MKV+HD audio. rclxub.gif
