I'm still noob in ICE
i'm using Trans Amp n 12' woofer

Amp (TRA-453) powered by key ignition, bcoz my HU doesnt hav any remote output. My HU, pioneer Carrozeria HRZ099
after two weeks using this setup, my amp went to protection mode and cannot power up, the seller said ur amp blown bcoz of my head unit not stable. He suggest using Voltage stabilizer.and i did.
bocz its under waranty, he replace another Amp (TRA-454), but after two weeks.it blown again.(Protection mode)

again, he explain my HU caused the problem, and he replaced new amp TRA-458 and he dont want to responsible for waranty anymore. But this product 1 year waranty. but i dont know after two weeks.Sh*t happen again.

there is no problem with wiring/ installation
any suggestion that i need to check?

Wait... Installer said the HU not stable (I'm assuming it is a bit tilt to the left), causing the amp to malfunction.

Yet, Installer suggested that VS will solve the problem.

Then again, malfunction and changed amps.

And installer say no more warranty? Hmmm...

1. Then what is the warranty offered for?
2. If change HU also cannot solve, how? (But I do not think this is the problem lar...)

My suggestion, get a second opinion or change installer (before the amp blow again.)

either the amp is not built to last(design issue) or the amp grounding is not sufficient or no solid contact to the body causing arching.
Or the amp cannot be bridged to 2ohm load to drive ur sub since its a 4ch...
Or ur speaker mid terminals is touching the metal door panel
Or
Strands of copper cable is touching the +ve and -ve terminal causing it to goto protection mode
Or
Power and ground cable is touching due to poor termination on the amp side......and many other variables..but wont be difficult to find the culprit as ur is a simple setup.
Juz tinkering..

hu wont cause amp to fail..vs wont solve the issue, totally irrelevant. Preferably repair ur hu remote out, try not to use the acc output.

Happy icing
