U can hear like the air gushing in sound, something like when u accelerate hard in a turbocharged car u can hear the air gushing into the intake chamber..
your battery has 2 serial number it could be recharge battery, it means the battery originaly produce was dry charge battery, due to some reason it change back wet charge (means add in battery water and charge again) it could be keep too long cant' sell off, dry charge battery will lost the charge very fast, if not it in use, but generally it will not effect the performance no wounder you can get it half price.
Gulp.. Tmr i go clarify with yokohama kilang and see.. I bought from authorised distributor wor.. Normally those prices stated there are RRP.. U get from distributor very cheap one..

wait for me la..wanna turbocharge also..looking to buy one by one. i think can get cheaper than zenon one.., turbo itself, turbo header/extracor,bov, wastegate, boost controller, intercooler, piping, piggyback etc..etc..etc... 0.6 bar on a small turbo cukuplah..just wanna increase pick up and power a bit..too much need to redo the engine..
haha.. Me i wait till warranty over then only turbocharged.. So still got 1 more year to go.. Yeah be too planning to boost around 0.5-0.65bar only.. But budget tight a bit.. hehe..

Aiyo.. Like that it'll never end la.. Pros & cons here & there.
If that's the case I'm sure most of the members here are running with overinflated stock tyres. Cos factory recommends 30 PSI front 28/29 back. Which is very very low, pancit style. Funny how they recommend u with such figures but hand the car to u with over inflated tyres. When I first got my car the tyres were inflated at around 36-37 PSI.
As for suspension failure, if pressures of around 35 PSI can really cause premature suspension failure then u can go complain to Proton d. Cos the tyres were as hard as a rock when u first get ur car. I'm sure u have fond memories of how it hurt ur back. I believe the suspension isn't that fragile in the first place.
Added on December 14, 2011, 6:27 pm By installing turbo u're already halfway there re-doing ur engine.
suspension failure for low profile tires only lah.. Those standard ones the walls still can flex.. I have fond memories of cornering faster than any car have ever done in most of the corners i take. .hehe..

Dude, that u should be telling 17 inch low prof users (e.g: samwong with 215/45/17). 205/50/16 the sidewall soft like dono what to say lah. And for ur suspension to fail so prematurely, u have to be running on very very low profile tyres.
haha.. His car now krik kruk krik kruk up down left right inside outside.. Pity him..
Saw the CFE leaked powerpoint... After turbo need 8l/100km somemore... better go sleep
8L/100km still better loh.. I turbocharge for higher power at the same FC..
QUOTE(ngeo88 @ Dec 14 2011, 06:45 PM)
no problem one lah it will not affect any thing lah, just like you buy a coke at shop how u know the actual manufacturing date, as long as the warranty card baecode are tally with your serial number thas it. Ther upper clear serial number are mark by laser at assembly, the below blur serial number are hot stamping at battery formation. the dry charge battery end proccess at assembly dpt. and wet charge end at battery formation. You ask sam he can confirm this.
Nvm lah.. Asalkan cheap.. hehe.. I rather save almost half of the cost for a recharged battery instead of a totally brand new one..

Poison
haha.. Was telling someone about this the other day..
Noob question....not even sure i take out the correct air filter or not today.... i always tot our air filter is the long rectangle type... ,,, today take out see see, it's a small square type..... under the glove box compartment... i got take out the wrong filter ar? amazingly noob Q
Lol..Thats the aircon filter.. hehe.. To filter the air taken in by ur nose, not by ur engine.
dumb dumb me.... so where the darn filter? engine bay?
somemore then i got go check this site just now.....how come this guy aircond filter long de? is it due to old Persona model? or Manual tranmission ? Sauce
Added on December 14, 2011, 7:39 pmThats the reason y Xan always bully me :'(
Erm which square one did u take out then? lol.. Got picture? Manual or auto trans also wont affect the aircon filter size.. hehe..

Zeng, how old ur car? so fast change battery? My car already 1year 8month, and auto somemore, really scare if battery drain in middle of no where how to know the battery still healthy or not?
my car battery exactly 1 year and 1 mth old spoilt.. After i peeled off the RAMCAR sticker on top and open the battery only i realised that most of the water has evaporated out ady. The battery water all ngam ngam just enough to cover the plates.. If ur car more than 1 year ady then open the battery top there and check, use a 20sen coin to unscrew the caps, those caps are very fragile and spoil easily when twisting with a screwdriver. Then use a torchlight to see inside if the water touches at least the bottom part of the filling hole.. If not enough water add in battery water to top up.. Check it periodically lah.. Like every 6mths to ensure long lasting live of ur car battery..
U can also buy a voltmeter and fix in there to check when battery level starts to drop.. normally voltage shd be around 11.5-12v when the engine is off, 13.8-14v when the engine is on and the alternator is charging the battery and the voltage shouldnt drop below 10.5v.. If it ever reaches 10.5v be prepared to change battery.
totally square, the size i think around two desire hd put together... ..not rectangle as shown in the link i post above.... me blur blur now...
Hmm better take pic show us ady.

wow... nice... but more on blow off valve sound ler....
Its the sound when accelerating b4 lifting out on the throttle.. Trust me its not that nice as u think it is.. Especially when high speed and long journey travelling.. Was experiencing with when driving a Wiralution last time..
Most probably can.. Exora engine bay can fit in CPS engine.. Surely the CFE ones also can go in, hopefully without any need for extra mounting.. Then i go total loss an Exora CFE from the back then salvage the engine..
No need big capacity or > 2000cc engine! Proton unveiled it’s Campro CFE engine with turbocharge system which have the performance equivalent with 2000cc engine , Variable valve timing and IAFM plus matched with it’s new Continuosly Variable Transmission CVT gearbox. The CFE turbo engine produced 138HP at lower 5000 RPM and 205Nm torque constantly between 2000-4000 RPM! Exora, Persona and Neo will be fitted with CFE soon.

PROTON CAMPRO FUEL EFFICIENT CFE 1.6 TURBO ENGINE + CVT GEARBOX UNVEILED! Campro CFE is a joint development program between Proton and Lotus Engineering. The key objectives of this program are to provide a means for performance and emissions upgrades to support Proton’s future products. This new engine will be introduced in Proton’s mid size to large vehicle.
Valve Mechanism DOHC 4 Cylinders 76mmx86mm bore x stroke 1561 cc 9.5:1 compression ratio 103kw @ 5000RPM = 138hp @ 5000RPM 205Nm @ 2000-4000RPM Multi POint Injection fuel system
According to Syed Zainal, this is another important issue as its current Campro engine is no longer valid after 2013.
“This new engine will be offered in our high-end models like the Exora, the current Persona and its replacement and may be in the Satria Neo too,” he said.
According to him, the CFE engine boasts a turbocharging unit, coupled to a new IAFM plus and a direct injection unit.
“Initially we wanted a 2-litre engine but the trend now is downsizing the capacity. The Campro CFE proves that it is doable – we have increased power and fuel economy while maintaining the engine capacity,” he said. Syed Zainal also confirmed that Proton will soon cease using Mitsubishi’s gearboxes. “We will use Getrag for manual transmission and a CVT system by Punch Motive (formerly the Belgian arm for ZF),” he said. seems like persona will use CFE soon oh
Confirm can retrofit with current S4ph ady.. Just get the turbo and BOT current engine.. Hopefully the ECU used is also the exact same 32bit Conti unit.. Can just plug and play..
u means d performance of engine..but the toque is higher than inspira 2.0 somemore leh..juz the horsepower abit dissapointed lo..i juz saw from other forum..the cvt gearbox tat use on exora onli can stand 225nm torque max..tat means cant modify so much lo..and can stand 160bhp..
I think better off getting a manual with that car.. Then can have lesser transmission lost and also more exciting drive, and can tune the turbo for even higher performance output.
This is the coolest myvi i ever seen in my life... Cooler than the myvi parked at my house parking, with a green turtle soft toy in it... hahaha... 2l then down sizing to 1.6? just now saw in paultan the performance of 1.8l... mana mahu percaya ni? Campro fuel efficient... nice marketing
It means they initially thought of using a 2L engine.. But the trend is downsizing the engine, so they develop the turbo kit for S4PH to bring it to 1.8L NA engine performance level..

according proton, new exora fuel comsuption is 8.3L/100km..90kmh constant driving if reali wan buy campro turbo and intend to modify(exhaust, filter,LCP and etc),better dun take cvt if possible..tis cvt onli can last 225nm torque..ori oledi is 205nm,if modify then will reach the max level oledi..
Yeah loh.. If its really like that, I think a quick tune of the engine can yield a much better FC and power combination.. I see DK TUNING that fella smiling all the teeth also almost going to drop out ady..
Still 138hp after turbo vy sienz leh.. my 13year old NA 1.7 d 125hp
Yeah.. Most turbocharged cars have very good potential for a remap cos it depends on the tuners skills to unleash the power.. If Continental can be remapped easily.. Sure somebody can improve the mapping somehow. Cos most cars the mapping are in conservative mode..
CVT plus turbo..seriously it doesnt sound like a good combination. Even the saga FLX had issues with the CVT, and that is just a 1.3NA engine.
Yeah true that.. CVT have the rubber band effect for their transmission.. And turbo tend to have a sudden boost coming in, as from the torque map, the torque from idling to 2k rpm more than doubles up.. I wonder if the gearbox will have premature problem considering how often we get stucked in traffic jams and traffic lights..
But a constant torque from 2k-4k RPM certainly do help in stabilising the power band and providing a smooth flow of power.. IF that is so then mb everytime u cruise in an Exora the rpm will be at 2k most of the time only.. haha..
Not easy.. First u need to understand the I/O of the ECU.. Then u need to know the mapping data and correlation.. Then there are a lot of stuffs i dunno too.. And then its password locked, so u need to know the right password to unlock the input menu.. If not all u can read is the output.. Some boards are complicated and need to be hacked by using jumpers, resistors etc etc.. So the continental one too difficult to do so far.. and the market for it also not big enough yet.
until nw,even dk tuning oso cant tune the 32bit ecu lo..for 16bit ecu is can tune..for more fuel efficiency and increase the low and mid end performance
32bit can tune also.. but have to sent to germany to the tuning lab there.. there only the ppl got the skills to tune it..

after all and all this and that, come TT test drive CFE ....
is it the same size as u guys? thats my Air COND filter.... NST today centerspread mentioned that the new Persona is a B+ segment car
Looks the same to me.. Same rectangular shape also..

save the money and change better car in future..as my suggestion, even v get the power, but the interior rattling sound still there..after hear then no mood to enjoy the power lo
Got power ady cant hear the rattling sound.. Install huge muffler and BOV.. any noise from the car also cannot hear anymore.
