LOL.. Exactly same like my car.. haha..

U mean this rims? Nope u cant fit 15" tires on a 16" wheels.. The rims wouldnt even fit into it in the first place.. The ideal tire size for 16" and to maintain almost the same level of comfort is 205/55R16 size tires..

QUOTE(DiamondBar @ Dec 14 2011, 01:55 AM)
Frankly, I do not suggest Persona to use any tyre bigger than 15".

15" is right fit for Persona in terms of practical
*
Well we have members here who use 16" and 17" rims too.. For me 17" gives very good grip, but at the expense of harsher ride quality..
16" gives a good balance between comfort and grip though..

Nope wont void at all.. No worries.. hehe.

But a lot of people do not know Persona is using multilink suspension while expensive
Forte, Latio, Vios and City are only using cut cost Torsion Beam.

Even Nissan Sylphy is using torsion Beam and rear drum brake.. very bad..

Yeah quite some minor issues.. Normally wont be an issue if u dont pay much attention to ur car..
Looks like someone finally knows something about the car they are going to buy.. hehe.. A lot of ppl without knowing these kind of stuffs.. icon_rolleyes.gif

QUOTE(xandras @ Dec 14 2011, 05:58 AM)
33PSI in front for 16 inch tyres for a FF car is quite low la. U have to consider the fact that ur front tyres are doing the steering and pulling the car, as well as supporting the entire weight of the engine. For a FR car the setup is rather different; the rear pressure should be higher than the front by a few PSIs. It also varies according to personal preference; whether it's comfort, handling, road noise, etc.

Although I do agree with u that the 'flatness' of the front tyres shouldn't be an indicator of low tyre pressure.

If u ask me, strictly between those two u mentioned, then turtle wax is better... But if u can afford it, go get it waxed using meguiars or AutoGlymm products.. Soft99 is more like a Multi-purpose cleaner wax..doh.gif
*
I have tried 34psi for my front tire b4.. and although the steering feels lighter, tire grip is not really there as the tires are able to lock easily when braking hard.. So i reduced to 230kpa.. gives better braking power, and tire doesnt lock so easily.. Those Silverstone NS500 im using loses a lot of grip when u have worn down the tires beyond 50% of its life.. doh.gif

laugh.gif macha, lu pump 34 psi but u punya Tayar Apa saiz, & apa width?
*
Stock tire lah.. 195/60 R15.. The wider and more lower profile the tire, the more dangerous it is to pump higher pressure, causing tire to be curved more towards the middle, so the middle thread will wear out faster.. and contact patch also lesser..

car loan early settlement can get discount 1 meh? dun think so lo...
if not mistaken, car loan is not same like mortgage loan can do early settlement.
*
Yeah u can do early settlement, and u can ask the bank to reduce the interest rate for u.. Normally they will reduce the interest charged by around 50%.. For my case when I ask, they say if do full settlement they will only charge 1.9% for the balance.. Unlike house mortgage however, u can make lump sum payment to reduce the loan capital and u wont incur interest for it at all, mb just a minimal processing fee, and u can do it multiple times.. Car loan however u have to do full settlement to enjoy the benefits.

Just went out to install the biggest and most huge a$$ battery my car can fit in..
Rm260 damage.. Yokohama Alpha Series 50D26R.. Or commonly known as NS70 high capacity.

Difference in battery size

Increase in specs.

The most perfect fit u can get in a car.. Cant go any bigger, If not i would have used NX110 if not for the air filter housing blocking it and the headlamp housing screw blocking the other way..

QUOTE(xandras @ Dec 14 2011, 05:07 PM)
That applies to all tyres regardless whether it's low or high profile, no? The more pressure u pump, the thread in the middle will definitely be more curved in. But the thread wear is supposed to be even on the sides towards the middle. Under-inflate it, u risk spoiling ur sidewall. FYI sidewall is more vulnerable & wears out faster than middle thread. By faster, I mean by running for ~400 KMs on low pressure u will begin to see noticeable sidewall wear. Under inflate it FC increase, rollin resistance also increase.
*
A thinner profile tire tend to have much harder sidewalls and more ply rates to prevent deformation, therefore when u pump the tire at higher pressure, the deformation of tire will be more vulnerable towards the middle of the tire width. Sidewalls is more vulnerable due to its construction where it need to be constructed to be able to flex to a certain degree to absorb bumps.. When a normal / high profile tire is over inflated, the over inflation can be taken by the more flexible side walls instead of transferring to the contact patch.. So thats y u get better cornering ability when u over inflate high profile tires..

install so big battery got what benefit?
*
Better cranking, battery still able to start engine when it degrades a bit..
When ur battery gets older, the capacitance of it tends to degrade slowly.. If u just install a battery ngam ngam able to support ur car when starting, then when the battery degrades a bit the power will reduce and cant start the engine. When install higher output battery, like mine currently at 450AH, when it degrades a bit to like 400AH its still able to start the car, indirectly increase battery replacement life..

Difference only RM10 for DIN55R vs 50D26R battery.

Other benefits is more stable current flow, providing more better audio quality for high end ICE system, more electronics can be installed without draining the battery off too fast etc etc..

And if hell freezes over in Msia when the opposition wins the next election, i have a higher chances of starting my car and running over to spore than u all.. tongue.gif

sad.gif  yes for all above but , dose it really also bring extra burden to our alternator to fully charge the bigger battery ?
*
Not really, the alternator recharges the battery at 13.8-14V at a steady ampere rate (not sure how much). If like say I used up 40ampere of current to start my car, then the alternator only needs to recharge back the 40ampere.. No matter what the capacity of the battery size is..
Installing more electrical items that draws on vampire current only will cause the alternator to charge the battery for a longer time.

QUOTE(xandras @ Dec 14 2011, 06:08 PM)
Yeah, but right now we're referring to 205/50/16, no? And it depends what u mean by the term over inflate. To me, over inflate is inflating the tyre beyond the limit that it can take.

205/50/16 isn't actually that much of a low profile tyre. Definitely lower than 195/60/15, however. A tyre with easily worn middle thread when inflated at higher pressure would mean that the thread is poorly designed (GT Radial, anyone?).

Best bet would be to actually stick to the factory recommended pressure, then increase/decrease by 2-4 PSI accordingly (assuming u upgrade to 16/17 inch or downgrade to 14 inch (why would anyone do that?)). I believe that different driving styles and road conditions commands for different tyre pressure. Furthermore with a lower profile tyre & larger rims, it's safer to pump the tyre with slightly higher pressure to avoid damaging the rims (Malaysia, notorious for the potholes).
*
If thats the term for overinflate then thats too dangerous ady.. For me overinflate means to go much higher than the manufacturers recommended pressure. Even a +4 psi from OEM standards is cosidered borderline for me. Above that its called overinflated.

Lower profile tires with harder pressure will definitely help to protect ur rims from the damage, but will cause premature suspension failure from the extra force not absorbed by the flexing of tire walls.. So there are pros and cons anyways.
