Bro, what are u talking about? Are u guessing these answers? Don't feed others with wrong info.. Huhu..

1. Its not a crank pulley.. A crank pulley is attached with a crank shaft.. This is the pulley for aircond compressor.. Can u see the two holes below the pulley there? Its the inlet chamber for the R13 gas to travel.. Behind it is the clutch for the magnet compressor, that wire is to supply power for the clutch to engaged & disengaged the clutch.

2. Its the piston for the compressor.. Have u ever see  a torque converter before? Its looks like that indian food : Puree. This is a compressor pistons to compress the gas.

Sanden's factory to produce the compressor is in Pasir Gudang and I occasionally visit the production line.. The compressor assy will then be shipped to shah alam.

I back abong for number 1. that i see got 2 wire comeout for energize the magnet clutch of air-cond. compressor, but for no. 2. i don't dunno and i never see the internal assembly off compressor.

btw if really gear box hancur there should be more gear around lah.

Bro, additional info for no 2.. Our PE use this kind of compressor operation.. The gas air compressed by the pistons. Where else for other brand like Zenith & Calsonic, most of their compressor using rotary technology.. Rotary compressor compressed the gas better compared with pistons but need a lot of energy to turn it into operation and will consume a lot of torque generated from the engine.. Hence only bigger engine are practical using such operation.. Nissan with its zenith compressor use rotary in their skyline model from R32 until the recent gtr.
This piston is actually very small, it is between the size of 50cent & 20 cent only with rubber rings.

Oh ya, regarding the picture no 3, IF I'm not mistaken, it is the shaft located between the pistons base plate for the pistons and the magnetic clutch.. It looks the same, but I haven't see yet the inner parts for PE compressor.. Usually the gears are a lil bit straight compared with this one looks swirl..

Did u noticed when the a/c compressor kicks in, there's a sound produced at the compressor? The "klak" single sound.. This is when the thermostat give signal that the gas are getting warmer and need to cool it back.. This will then supply power to the compressor's clutch to engage.. The so-called planetary gears mentioned by Zeng will then be pushed to the baseplate to start the compressing process.. Just my 6cents

Guys.. wanna further elaboration in 10k service

i have 2 option :

1. Use semi synt (petronas 800 10w 40) - will have to do own 15k service

2. Use full synt (i found in internet recommend petronas 3000 instead of 1000 - 5w 40) - maybe just need change oil filter for 15k service

What u recommend? as i said i will use d free voucher. so maybe will not buy other engine oil

better option 1 since you got free service why go spend money buy fully synth. oil. change oil frequen good for engine. even doing 15k service only using semi synth oil which is still cheaper than 10K km buy fully synth oil.

if synthium 3000 free then rclxms.gif it was RM200 over laugh.gif then go for opt. 2 and give your review on using synthium 3000 here as not many member try using synthium 3000 before.

nod.gif cos it was 15W-50, thicker oil better protection but heavy on acceleration.

Yeah.. Better tagline with safer info.. Maggi bring us nowhere..

ok la that amount..me drive like an old man..not fnf..but only maintain 150-160 on highway at night only..daytime..follow rules smile.gif ..

ps: went service at my hometown because its easy....lazy to go to cose or other place here in kl..but i forgot to order EO from petronas..maybe next time order a carton of fully synthetic engine oil..staff price 30% off..summore if they introduce new packaging, old stock selling much lower..
*
30% off means how much ah? If say RM210 RRP then x 70% = RM147 per bottle is it?

Wa I thought Petronas 800 is 10-40w. Dint know 15-50w. 10-40w can stand high rev and temperature without problems right? Sorry for noob question.
*
Can.. 10-40 can stand high rev more than 5-30 engine oil..

Huhu.. I also dunno what the pistons were.. thats y i put the (I think bracket there).
As for the first pic I really thought it was a crank pulley lah.. It was broken off from the engine base where the crank pulley will normally be located. So thought itu Crank pulley.
