The only reason why I have not considered Celcom, even though it is reputed to have one of the best 3G coverage, is because nobody in my social circle uses Celcom... But heck, if the connection sucks, I may just give Celcom, or Maxis for that matter, a try...

it uses some inductive/ magnetic thingy... technology by wacom. some tablets screens that uses this technology... then yes, the pen will be swappable. i have a HP notebook that uses this technology... so i can use the s-pen on the notebook and the notebook's pen on the Note. <-- confused?!? lolz...

as for digi or u-mobile or telco plan... i was originally thinking of getting the note from digi. but in the end, bought direct from SEP. reason being digi dun let me reject the Note even if i see 1 pixel. samsung's exchange policy states (if i'm not mistaken) 1 dead pixel is acceptable and no repairs required. i want my display to be perfect. so dowan to take the risk. plus, buy from SEP, i get 2 yrs warranty.

the other reason being... after using smart phone on digi for a while now... i'm beginning to realise how sucky it can be to have your download speed capped. i recently bought a u-mobile prepaid starter pack to try it out... i was surprised that i could download like 2000kbps up to even 5000kbps.

digi caps the speed to 7xx kbps though sometimes you can get up to 1000kbps.

@stringfellow the pouch... i guess the note+flipcase won't fit, right? note will need to be naked, correct? i kinda like the flipcase now...

the digi fella explained to me (and i accept the explanation coz its logical) that they are just another 'dealer'. any warranty claims... it should go back to Samsung. to them, once you take that bundle, its yours... got defect, you deal with digi.

with that... i walked over to SEP and got my set from SEP. that explanation from digi was from the IoI outlet. there's a SEP just a few steps away...

ya... for me... in the end... i just considered the extra few hundred (abt rm400 since i was only planning to get rm48 plan for 12mths) as purchase of warranty for 2nd year la. plus, i get to test to my satisfaction first. and SEP also allow instalment plan (extra charge)...

only thing i was not happy with the SEP... and its not really 100% their fault... i dunno how and why i ended up buying a rm60 SP from them... when its only worth like rm10. they did claim it was rm90 outside which i later think its BS... maybe i was just too happy about the Note that day till i forgot to think rationally... lol...

errr.... i am not driving 308. But my wife just take delivery of a new shiny white 207SV today.

it depends on how long you want to sign up for the contract - for 1 years I think is RM300+RM68, for 2 years is RM500+RM68.  These amount will be off-set your monthly bills in the following months until fully utilised.  Before it is fully off-set, you no need to make any payment.

Simple answer:

It allows you to take control of your phone.  Remove bloatware (things you dont use or need), full backup and restore, change/tweak system settings (CPU clock speed, voltage etc).

It will further allow you to install custom roms.

it's all in the 1st page. take some effort read there 1st. 

for all my android phone - rooting is a MUST, coz need to use Titanium Backup and Market enabler.  But installing custom rom is just optional.  Not yet install any custom rom to my Note yet.  I also flashed custom rom to my Desire HD previously only for the HTC lockscreen with photos only after many months on stock ROM.

Custom ROMs are addictive but somehow never bug free. 

There is no headache at all if you do not need these:

1. Run apps like market enabler to fake telco to have access to more apps , both free and paid
2. Run adfree app to stop all those pesky ads appearing in the apps
3. Run titanium backup to fully backup and restore your apps and data
4. Install clockworkmod recovery so that you can have a full nandroid backup ( your rom plus everything) and in emergency cases allow you a full restore back
5. Run system apps eg setcpu to overclock and to set profiles and voltages - to control battery life
6. Backup your phone IMEI
7. Flash roms and kernels and modem

REMEMBER root will void warranty

My AP set bought on 3rd Nov till now has no hardware and software issues. Can say is perfect till now - no battery problems, no display n touch screen issues, no free n hang issues etc
Also I never install any crack pirated apps
All my apps are from market free and paid

emmm im also wonder why someone with their gadget cannot connected to router? my note, sgs and my friend sensation and ipon doesnt have problem to connect to my home unifi and also unifi at opis....

I know and understand your situation. RM 90 vs RM 110... Just trying to translate what I think he was trying to say. Not that I'm on his side. Good luck with your refund. I would suggest in giving him a negative feedback and then open a case with ebay. Pressure him both ways.

Hmmm, on second thoughts, he's already had a bad feedback and probably has his account blocked. I would never buy from someone with so little feedback in the first place. You paid via Paypal?
Is this some kind of tactic by the telcos? Trying to push something that is suppose to be revolutionary this weekend?
