Anyone here can recommend any paid GPS application that will fully utilize SGN screen resolution to the fullest? Also with updated map for ASEAN region especially Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.

Read somewhere Papago needs to tweak and does not fully utilize the screen. As for paid app like Sygic, there seems to be some problem with the software itself.

Thanks Benny888. I assume you have it working flawless on SGN and it utilizes the SGN screen resolution to the fullest. Is the map constantly updated for the mention countries above.

Just wanted to share my thought on the SGN charger hissing sound. This issue does not only affect SGN, but I have a cheap Samsung GT-E1081T which also has the same sound. The video link is taken using my SGN.

http://youtu.be/EdonFcny2B4

So, I think it really isn't a big issue.

Hi Benny. Downloaded Sygic yesterday and on first launch got error. But after that, no issue so I didn't bother to troubleshoot. Anyway, wanted to know base on your experience with Sygic, is the map constantly updated by Sygic. If yes, is that free. Or is there an online community that update and share their map contribution online such as malsingmaps.com

Anyway, Sygic does make full use of SGN screen resolution.

Anyone ever used both SGP and Nillkin slim faceplate before? Any difference in terms of build quality, fit and slimness.

Anyone using any bluetooth headset with SGN. Looking for single bluetooth headset instead of stereo type. Would be nice if you can recommend. Am looking at Plantronics 975 and Jawbone Era. Aside from their price, I am not sure if what is claim is worth the money.

There is another GPS software called SpeedNavi www.speednavi.com which is sold from Thailand. It claims to support SGN but I can't seems to get any information from the website.

Anyone has any prior experience.

I am using Android 2.3.5. After setting up my office exchange email (now on Exchange 2010) after a few days, the email is unable to sync automatically or manually. I get an error "IRM not supported"

Anyone has any idea?

Anyone experiencing low in-call volume when receiving call from caller. I have tried to increase the volume by pressing the physical volume button on the side of the SGN, but the volume is still low.

Using stock 2.3.5 Gingerbread.

It has been almost 3 weeks since SGN release. Don't see much seller selling SGN accessories such as

Screen Protector
Case especially those premium case
Car Mount
Car Charger
Batteries
Dock

Hopefully, Lowyat forum members starts getting the quality stuff in.

Anyone recalled how long before SGS2 had those accessories in the market after its release?

can u elaborate on the 'size about the same'... i saw SGN and it is huge compared to sgs2. pls enlightend me. tq

Personally, when I got my SGN the first time and own it for the past 3 weeks (and not during the demo display viewing), I notice how the size is compared to the rest of the phones. However, after 3 weeks with the phone, I realize how small the screen of other phones are and how comfortable (viewing) it is with SGN. I guess it slowly gets into you. No issues carrying the SGN on trousers (again I don't wear tight jeans and not baggy trousers either). Only thing I wanted to get to avoid stares from passerby when you are on the call is a good bluetooth headset. Partly, this is also due to the low in call volume when receiving a call. Got a nice Jawbone Icon for RM270 which has a nice android app that tells the time, calendar notification, bluetooth battery status with nice human voice. Worth the $$$$ and kickass noise cancellation.

screen protector and dock i got. check out digital mall pj

Perhaps more info on the screen protector and dock. Picture paints a thousand words. We are now on online marketplace, so what's the point making a trip to Digital Mall and their crappy parking & traffic just to see sub standard items. I'm sure more people will start PMing you after these info are given.

Don't mean to be rude.

But after forking out over RM2K for a smartphone, there are real genuine buyers willing to fork out money to purchase premium item to safeguard or accessorize their phone. But everyone being busy has little time to window shop for these accessories given the plenty of cheap product offered from the stores.

i believe the lagging is the CPU throttle down during sleep mode and upon waking up take some times to be on speed to be smooth...
after wake up, i find it to be no lagging.
after closing all apps and clearing the ram, when it go back to main screen also a little lagging..
i think that's due to the CPU need to load back the desktop thing back to memory..
looks like the low in call volume is really a bug...
i find it to be low in volume even though already max it out..
*
Yah, I have inquired in this forum about the in call voice volume. Even the pro users like B***888 has been quiet about it. Or perhaps their unit is fine and the issue is limited to a handful of owners.
