anyone can direct me where to read the guide for using kies?? i installed but cannot get the connection up thru usb. wanted to update the firmware to 2.3.6. ty in advance

did you disable the usb debugging in settings?

Found it.. need to tick the disable USB debugginh mode in order to connect to kies?

still cant connect after tick n unticked

ya.. cannot connect even i ticked the usb debugging. it is the correct way to update the firmware using kies? 2.3.6?
where can read the update detail ?

for your information, the usb debugging need to untick for using the note with kies.

In my situation,
1. i just untick the usb debugging and connect it though pc with kies open.

2. after that the kies will detect and done some configuration follow by a pop out window that have the info about your current version of firmware and tell you update to the newest firmware.

i din tick in the 1st place n still cannot connect. i am using win 7 ulti 64bit

same error message that i get during first time i connect note to pc

try to untick usb debugging first and reconnect it to pc < this have solve my problem

did anyone using auto brightness? as i found the display is quite bright so i manually lower down it to 0% brightness

Try un-install Kies & re-install again. There should install driver all together.

Dear All SGNote Users

Again... I've been save information that I gather since SGNote v2 msg till now.
Attached the 2x words documents that contain information on Android, ROM, Casing, Screen Protector, Setting Configuration, Applications, Papago, etc etc....

It's not a very organize documents.
But at least it's good (for me) to understand about SGNote & Android.
Hope it will helps all of you too.

There are 2 USB debugging.... make sure you tick the right one...

It will not work if you tick Disable USB Debugging in Settings>Privacy and Location

The right one is at Settings>Application>Development... Untick USB Debugging

Once you are done and wish to use back as USB storage, enable it back.

After rooting, do I still get OTA updates? Kinda forgot about that
