Hi guys, im a new alienware user, just recently bought a m15x off a forumer here.

However the two icons on the touch surface are not working
(the ufo icon, and the speedometer icon)

He recommends me to download "alienware command centre" but also indicates that if i download an older version, it could screw up my rig.

Can a kind soul please guide me on where to download, or what to do to solve this issue?

It wasnt pre-installed when i got the machine from the forumer.

I guess he uninstalled it or something.

He did mention not to download anything from dell support, can you verify this?

Can i also just ask, the button for "stealth" mode, if i press it, am i suppose to see some indication that it is "ON" or "OFF"? because when i press it, nothing happens as well.

Hi guys,

i was just trying to update my graphics card driver yesterday for the m15x (ati HD5850) to the latest driver available.

Tried two sources, one from ATI website themselves, and one from the Dell Support site for alienware laptops

However when i install both drivers, i get the same issue.

a) Catalyst Command Centre no longer works

b) the highest resolution i can get is 1400x1050

Hi guys, just looking to get some feed back from anyone that has gamed on an m15x before or currently doing so.

I've been playing starcraft 2 for about two hours and the temp shoots up to 90 degrees. After that frame rate drops from 30 to about 7-8... Is this normal?

My gpu is a 5850 ati btw
