Dell Alienware M14x R2 – Preview

Dell is to release a new laptop aimed at hardcore gamers, the Alienware M14x R2. The release date seems to be timed to coincide with the launch of Intel’s next-gen 22nm Ivy Bridge processors. The Ivy Bridge architecture is the first to employ tri-gate transistors, which help reduce power consumption. Ivy Bridge also features Intel HD graphics, 4K video playback, PCI-E support, and support for 2800MT/s RAM. The new processor should deliver around 20% better CPU performance, coupled with a 30% improvement in GPU performance.

Aside from the new Intel processor, the Dell Alienware M14x R2 notebook can be configured with either an AMD Radeon HD 7970M discrete graphics card, or for NVidia fans buyers can choose between GeForce GTX 660M or GeForce GTX 675M cards. The chassis will be offered in either red or black, although exact details of price and availability have not yet been released.

You need his first and second name, phone number and preferably address as well.

But just for a head up, your previous owner might not be the original owner. Maybe he is only a second owner, and he don't know who is the original owner; thus resulting in failure to pass the Ownership Transfer process.

I am wondering, would the Mx11 be worth buying for its price?

I saw the price dipped a little and my fren is working inside dell, so another few percent off hopefully from the final price.

My old Studio passed into the void recently..

The M11x is one of a kind, which is why its rather expensive.
It all depends on your usage, because for most people, the M11x is would be too small

Now not sure Staff price cheaper or LYN price cheaper.

I go do some research 1st as usual before buying.

Since there is like Rm200 off based on what TJ said, then add summore staff price, should be okay jor.

I am still pretty much undecided actually.

If the newer version comes fast, then i would get it.

I need it for my work/studies around May~June.

So, whichever comes 1st, I will get it. I do, of course prefer alienware since i owned before their Mx15....
