QUOTE(ariel369 @ Feb 14 2012, 06:55 PM) hello.. have a problem with my m14x. When i play battlefield 3(single-player mode),after 2-5 min of the game it just randomly freeze. i have to end the process through task manager. but other games work fine (eg: assassin creed, dota 2).. anyone has a solution for this? it only happens in bf3. I already search around google about this stuff and i found out many nvidia gpu users face the same problem. could it be the driver? or maybe the game itself? thx in advance. I dint have this problem wo... Can try updating the driver if not already... If it still persist, then it might be game problem? |

QUOTE(chiahau @ Apr 1 2012, 08:04 PM) I am wondering, would the Mx11 be worth buying for its price? Hi bro, I remember you XD XD ~~I saw the price dipped a little and my fren is working inside dell, so another few percent off hopefully from the final price. My old Studio passed into the void recently.. This might help you abit at saving as well [quote=lee_what2004,Mar 23 2012, 02:02 PM]Some discount coupon for Dell, XPS, Alienware RM200 discount. Applicable to XPS 13 N2JNHXS8BJSGSJ Vostro, RM 100 discount. Condition: cost RM2000 and above 13826GXW28KNM4 The M11x is one of a kind, which is why its rather expensive. It all depends on your usage, because for most people, the M11x is would be too small |

QUOTE(Pro3363 @ Apr 12 2012, 07:55 PM) Gaming laptops are not supposed to be used for intense gaming when on battery? The M14x was known to have a screen frame drop from 60-40hz (not sure whether that's the correct unit) when on battery... And forcing the M14x to run on maximum performance profile on batttery will cause auto-shutdowns This post has been edited by [PF] T.J.: Apr 15 2012, 06:19 PM |

QUOTE(ezmeer94 @ May 18 2012, 12:51 AM) yea but ssd doesnt mean anyting u only get fast bootup times and data transfer not noticable in gaming...not worth for the price......graphic card do matter though You do get way faster loading speeds, which will also affect your gaming experience Imho its worth it if you can afford it. For gaming, GPU is the most important, then followed by the HDD/SSD speed and CPU |

QUOTE(Gallardo @ Jul 18 2012, 12:21 AM) hey guys, i just received my m14x r2 and there's a slight problem i would like to ask experts here I'm using an M14x R11) My ac adapter seems to have some noise like ''pzz'' or slight buzz in it, is that normal for everyone else here? its very noticeable like some suction sound Should i consult dell customer care or its memang like that one due to the motor thats running in the adapter coz its huge? 2) It is normal for the cd-rom to produce sound when u close your lid or anything else? 1) There shouldn't be any sounds... have you make sure that you've connected properly to the socket and to your laptop? 2) The CD-Rom will generate noise when starting Windows etc. IF there is a disc in your optical drive. And yes, the sound is quite apparent, which is normal since the disc is spun very quickly |

Anyway, for all new M14x R2 users,
below are some of the problems faced in the M14x R1, some of which were not yet fixed 1. Very abrupt and loud fan noise, solved by BIOS update which causes the fan speed to increase gradually instead of abruptly. Its still loud, but not all of a sudden 2. AlienFX lights of the left keyboard panel and around the touchpad will not work when starting Windows IF you are using ADVANCE LIGHTING settings (pulse/color morphs) 3. Auto-shutdown when gaming at high performance profile on battery 4. Rare, but occasional and random "tock tock" sound from the speakers, regardless of whether your speakers are on or disabled You guys might wanna see whether any of these problems are still there |
