planning to buy m18x..but not sure of the warranty coverage..having a friend of mine willing to ship this m18x to me.chat with both us and malaysia dell..some say warranty is covered, some say not..pening already

Added on January 19, 2012, 11:33 pmwell, M18x warranty is covered by malaysia, but it dont have "Next bussiness day onsite service covered". some how is depends on ur system, if it is basic plan warranty, then it is not covered by Dell malaysia

What is the sense of having a medium range video card in Alienware desktop? After all, Alienware desktops are associated with high-end gaming, thus you need high-end video cards to go with it. Correct me if I am wrong, but not even its stylish casing can convince me to call it an Alienware desktop. Is Dell Alienware trying to fool the less-informed customers into buying this "Alienware" desktop, claiming that it can run games at high setting? After all, some clueless Dell Sales Agents may inappropriately overestimate the gaming performance of this Alienware x51. I do not think that this Alienware x51 can support dual video cards.

Its power supply unit with highest rating is just 330 W. Even my 4-year-old Dell XPS desktop, which was the high-end gaming machine back then in Malaysia before the arrival of Alienware, has 420 W original Dell power supply unit. What a joke! Is Dell Alienware attempting to neuter the brand of Alienware, beyond recognition?

Okay, if Dell Alienware wants to introduce a slim offering of Alienware desktops, Dell Alienware could have also introduced the true successor of Alienware Area-51 ALX desktop. Alienware Aurora desktop is simply no match of its big brother, Alienware Area-51 ALX desktop. Even though Alienware was acquired by Dell, I really hope that Dell will ensure the Alienware brand stays true to its original root, which is producing high-end gaming machines.

Any comment, guys? Please correct me if I have said something wrong.

This is a comment from me who is a proud owner of a Dell XPS desktop and an Alienware All Powerful laptop. Similar to you guys, I burnt a big hole in my pocket to buy these gaming machines.

Sorry for the harsh comment. I just cannot help it, as the Alienware brand is not what it used to be, seemingly losing its focus.

I Hope there's not much performance loss from the horizontal PCB.

X51 seems to be taken shape from those Dell Slim Desktop whereby no power supply is build in and adapter is super huge like gaming laptop aka brick size ac adapter size/gaming console power supply..

Anyway, hope to see Alienware priced it well this time, most likely the x51 Chasis will support mid-range GPU with tiny reference cooler, as the GPU compartment is sharing its space with a 7200rpm Mech hdd.
