Hi, guys. Wanna ask that if I wanna upgrade my Windows 7 to Windows 8, how's the process?

As right now I'm using alienrespawn as my backup and already backed one copy in a thumb drive.

If I upgrade to Windows 8, do I still keep the alienrespawn program? Thanks.

Hmm... upgraded my m14x to Windows 8 and so far no problem found.. Most driver i use the Dell site one except Intel Graphic, Nvidia Graphic.

But the synapstic touch i using old driver. Not yet tried the latest version.

Yea, normally will tick the "Disable touchpad if external mouse plugged in" tongue.gif

I use external mouse and keyboard so won't be touching my laptop's body also, haha ...

But for the gesture, might want to try it though smile.gif

You direct upgrade or clean install? I did mine m14x R2 clean install , the only problem is the Alienware OSD wont work eventhough theres a guide for installing it from Dell  doh.gif

I upgraded first and then found that it's not really good after upgrade.
So did a new clean install.

Both works fine also with the OSD.

Did you have alienrespawn in your m11x? Create an image using DVD or USB drive then u are good to go for reformat.

Just plug in or slot in the image and restart your laptop. Press F12 and choose the bootable device and follow the steps.
Be sure to back up all ur important things as this will wipe all up and back to factory setting smile.gif

Your hinge got problem? I sure that it still free to replace sweat.gif
