Thanks smile.gif Never tried AiAiAi before but the Audio-Technica ATH-WS55 looks good. Any idea how much it cost here? (USD99)

I found that Audio Technica FC707 Portable/Foldable Headphone (RM199 @ Jabens) is not bad too but I guess its all bout personal reference.

This is the JVC Bass series I was talking about; heres the link http://www.jvc.eu/xxseries/

Built quality is rugged and tough, sound quality wise I've not burned into it yet, but so far its on the punchy bass side and quite flat on treble.

Budget is around Rm300.
Use mostly for gaming(audio+mic).
Bluetooth/Wireless (lose 2 headsets because of the cable being roll over by chair wheel too many times )
Thank you.

Recently received the Shure 440 as a gift. Sounded kinda flat in terms of bass but has great treble and mids. Sifus or anyone using it, ca advice me on how long should I burn them in? Any suggested amps I could use after burning them in?

Rig : Shure 440
Music : Bass-heavy songs
Amp : ?

AFAIK the Shure 440 is meant to be a monitoring headphone. It will not have that extra bass thump/colouration. There may be a bit of a gain after burn-in, I don't know. Best bet is to have a good bass boosting amp like the Fiio E11 or JDS Labs cMoyBB. If you can afford the higher end amps with greater bass boost like the Graham Slee Voyager or GoVibe Magnum by all means go ahead.  smile.gif

I would recommend you to sell that and get another headphone. However you said it was a gift. If it's a gift from a friend or anyone special like your family, I wouldn't do that. They won't appreciate that action.  tongue.gif  However if it's like a store gift or whatever that's another scenario altogether.  brows.gif

Hahahah thanks bro, yeah just trying my luck turning it into bass cans hahah, but this would be my first monitoring headphones, comes in handy in future I guess tongue.gif Yes, I wouldn't dare sell it, gf will strangle me with Shure's wire. Currently im using a portable Hippo amp. Not sure whats the model, but its all metal and has Gain and Bass switch. smile.gif

If it doesn't have a volume knob I think that the Hippo Box+. I had one once. The bass gain is subtle but noticeable. More of a slight sub-bass detail enhancer rather than adding a woofer effect. You GF sure knows how to pick a monitor.  thumbup.gif  Add a bass boost amp and those cans (or at least those with that kind of sound sig) can do pretty well with metal and rock. For me though, because I'm a partial bass head only, not a full fledged bass head like you.  biggrin.gif

Yes sir, went back to check, its the Hippo Box smile.gif Haha so far 12 hours into burning. Koss Protapro has more bass, even before burning in.
