either a reshell or a single BA custom

after doing a lil bit of reading,found out BA is  not for a basshead like me,dynamic is the one i should look for.Thinking between the Radius DDM or Atrios M5.Both almost same price,and both bass heavy.I wonder which one should i go for?

or i there any other dynamic drive worth mentioning around that same price?

Sound wise the DDM has been deemed the most fun sounding earphones for quite some time but talking purely on bass presentation the Atrios will have slight upper hand. I'd feel that the combination of the sounds of Radius DDM make it a more complete package though.

For a basshead you wouldn't have other choices, the Monster Turbines/Pro Gold/Copper/Sennheiser IE8 are also bass oriented but they come with a higher price tag without performing substantially better than the Atrios or DDM.

But then if you straight away go over to extreme, it might not be wise. Be sure to try them out first.

she means if you go 3k then u dont like it, there is no resell value, and there are no custom which caters to basshead that i know of, cause they are not the characteristics of balanced armature drivers

for bass heads, its either mg6pro or JH16. and mg6pro beats merlin hands down.

i bought the mg6pro directly from their website, their price there is USD900, to which you need to add another USD70 for return shipping. your cost of impressions and cost of shipping to them is not included also. 

merlin i tried the demo unit in singapore. i find the entire sound signature incoherent, the dynamic driver seems to be out of sync with the BAs.

the mg6pro is not in any way dark. it is actually pretty neutral. it is after all, designed specifically for use on stage as monitors. it's biggest strength is its absolutely perfect tonal reproduction. even when i run full copper iem cables (ALO Copper), it is only just slightly warm.

vocals are not sweet. it's neutral. best quality is one of the best out there. jh16 might be have more in quantity but loses out on quality.

but again, bass quantity and fun-ness is subjective.

noise isolation and for accurate tempo of song to be heard, if via speaker is delayed, so will sing out of sync. by isolated clear music in ears, the delay is much lesser so can sing accurately and when speakers mix the song and vocals up, wont be a mess of delays

live band music is mic-ed and goes into a mixer, which is then amplified out to the audience and to the on-stage monitor speakers.
another signal is tapped from the mixer and fed wirelessly into units carried by the performers which then amplifies the signal to the customs/universals.

as the signal heard by the performers goes through a central mixer, it is usually pre-arranged with the sound engineer beforehand and EQed to the individual preferences. it is possible to have for example the guitars on the left channel only, bass guitar on both channels and drums on the right channel.

mg6pro there's no demo unit. unless you manage to try mine.

but the futuresonics Atrios MG7 is sort of like a universal mg6pro. try the Atrios at Jaben KL / SG and if you like the sound signature, the mg6pro will not let you down.

its most certainty is an improvement over the Atrio. i won't be able to go KL until Feb 2012, earliest.

i listen to everything on it: classical, jazz, rock, pop, vocals, metal, ambient ... no rap/trance that kind of stuff tho.

bass is tighter, but not necessarily more. its more transparent than Atrio in the sense that when the music calls for it, the bass will hit you hard. but when you are listening to stuff like kenny g, you will be hard pressed to find any bass.

I didnt know Jaben has a store in Subang Jaya. hahha, where is it? is it in SS15? hahaha
