QUOTE(hongrui @ Dec 26 2011, 10:54 PM) its most certainty is an improvement over the Atrio. i won't be able to go KL until Feb 2012, earliest. I see, I might go to Singapore on the 13th to the 15th of Jan, can I meet you there if I go? Btw, what do you use it for? Is it suitable for modern/radio friendly songs? An the bass is tighter or more than the Atrio?

ya you can come by, can come by my home to listen to my home setup too, if you like.
i listen to everything on it: classical, jazz, rock, pop, vocals, metal, ambient ... no rap/trance that kind of stuff tho.
bass is tighter, but not necessarily more. its more transparent than Atrio in the sense that when the music calls for it, the bass will hit you hard. but when you are listening to stuff like kenny g, you will be hard pressed to find any bass.

QUOTE(Chyan @ Dec 26 2011, 11:12 PM) Shure SE215 & Brainwavz B2. Comparison? Its better that u list out ur music preference and the genre u listen to, as both IEMs u listed have very different sound signature. One is warm sounding and bassy while another one is bright sounding with alot of clear details.

That would be awesome bro. I'll get back to you on that I see, transparent means the bass is not always there, only when the music calls for it, it hits hard? How does the Merlin sound btw? The one you tested, what's it's signature like? Is it fun-sounding? The MG6Pro, being neutral, not in any way boring right?

QUOTE(FaezFarhan @ Dec 28 2011, 01:30 AM) I see, transparent means the bass is not always there, only when the music calls for it, it hits hard? like i said, the questions you are asking me are all very subjective. you have to go audition them for yourself to be sure. how can i possibly know what sounds boring/fun to you and what does not? no, Transparency does not refer to the bass only, transparency refers to the entire sonic spectrum. a transparent component in your rig will allow you to hear the summation of all the audio components before it. and if you have a totally transparent setup, you will be able to the actual source material as it is recorded / produced. but in this case i am comparing the bass of the mg6pro and atrios only and i am saying the bass response of the mg6pro is more transparent that that of the atrios.

Please help me on this...
- My Rig: PC with SoundBlaster X-Fi Titanium - Type of usage: Music (MP3, FLAC), Movies (AAC, AC3, DTS) - Music genre: Instrumental, Pop, Trance (such as Armin) - Budget: less than RM700. - Headphone/ earphone type: Headphone - Brand preference: None. Quality over price does matter. - Other requirements (if any): I don't mind close or open headphone. Noise is not an issue. But I do mind on top the ear headphone such as Grado (I had S80). Although I love its sound quality, it really hurt my ear cup after 1 hour. I practically wear headphone for more than 10 hours a day (literally).
Please advise. Thanks.

Dam needed format sorry bout that, did not read the first post. Well heres mine.
- My Rig: Basic dual core rig no souncard. - Type of usage: Gaming, music, movies - File format: MP3/4,Dolby, - Music genre: Pop,RnB - Budget: RM 200 and below - Headphone/ earphone type: Gaming headphone - Other requirements (if any): Possible if the headphone is 5.1 and a comfortable ear cup cause i'll be wearing it all the time when i use my PC and I dislike the type of fabric that tears on the earcup. Had bad experience with that.
Thanks.

QUOTE(GenericMav @ Dec 28 2011, 03:10 PM) do have some look at ATH AD700, you can even wear it entire day Noted with many thanks. Since you own AD700 as well, could you provide me some feedback regarding bass response. I am not a bass head guy, but a nice solid well controlled bass is much appreciated especially during action HD movie viewing and trance/electronic music listening session. Any comparo between this model and ATH-M50? PS: From what I read, AD700 has larger sound stage but less thumpy bass. Is this true? FYI, I am not a classical/jazz audiophile. Just a guy with some contemporary music appreciation
