now using sony edi, wanna try something else smile.gif

actually now my requirement is heavy bass, but WITH treble. If i wan just bass,my current sony does that so well that if i put in any more bass my brain can turn upside down edi lol tongue.gif

beats is shakehead.gif

so this simple iems should be able to work properly on itouch;sony walkman right? hmm.gif
*
the DUNU Trident is slightly bass heavy, with treble. but nothing like DDM or Atrios. if you really want deep tight bass, the Atrios is better than DDM.

however the trident, atrios and ddm are all dynamic iems and will require more power behind them to sound their best.

I gues its the DDM ten(eventhough the design abit...lol,but no biggie. So does the ddm play nice with itouch and sony walkman;meaning izzit mp3 player friendly?or will it cause my battery drain to be higher than normal? hmm.gif

24ohm and 32ohm are pretty standard for IEM. Portables are designed to consume less power than normal headphones and for IEM so I think that is the last thing you want to worry about. The bitrate of your mp3 files will matter more when it comes to battery consumption.

QUOTE(FaezFarhan @ Dec 6 2011, 02:09 PM)
I was wondering why the IE8 is like 3 times more expensive than the Atrio since you say it's not that much of a difference. I thought it would be a lot better lol doh.gif
Barely. The higher you move up the scale the smaller the difference you will notice. There's this law of diminishing return in the audiophile world.

I guess being a Sennheiser flagship it has to be priced prestigiously.

Any IEM recommendations that costs no more than RM600(including shipping if bought online)? It needs to be great with hardcore, post rock, indie, metal and electronica songs, via 320kbps MP3 or FLAC.

DUNU hephades if you want a more balanced sound, trident if you want a touch more bass emphasis.

Thanks for the suggestion. Not a basshead so I think I'll skip the trident you mentioned.

Tried a SE315 last Sunday and liked it. Price is a little out of my range though. I also noticed the UE TF10 at a similar price point at that but I've never auditioned one. How well do these DUNU headphones compare with those two, and also what about price?

the price list is in my signature.

if you like the se315, you will probably like the Hephades.

The TF10 is a triple BA, with sparkling highs and good bass punch, but mids are recessed, slightly aggressive(?).

Hephades is a dynamic driver, more balanced across the entire spectrum, with slightly warm mids.

Trident has got more bass emphasis, fun signature but a little bit smallish stage

It's just not logical to not be a basshead looking at all your music genre hmm.gif

For your budget, you can never go wrong with Vsonic GR07, one of the best earphones around with ridiculously high price/performance ratio. One problem is you need to order from SG though.

For those audiophiles who get their stuff from overseas, does customs tax earphones you buy?
