I actually have been using Klipsch s4i and that is pretty good for me, but the main concern for me is that the connection between the cable and the 3.5mm jack is straight, and over time the outer layer came off/detached...maybe im just too rough with it. But the "L" shapped connection on my previous Sennheiser seems to last longer, so preferably something with that as well? was tempted by Beats Tour because it has the L shapped connection and the flat cable means less tangling, but i figured i can get sth better for lesser price.

Thanks in advance!

Between Philips SHE9700 , DUNU Trident,
Is this audio-technica ATH-C100G, ATH-C500G or ATH-CK1 better than that two model or worse?
*
Philips SHE9700 (clarity) and DUNU Trident (never try) is much better than Audio-Technica ATH-C100G, ATH-C500G and ATH-CK1.

If you looking for good sound quality + budget Audio-Technica IEM better go with ATH-CKM300 (clarity + moderate bass) or ATH-CK313 (clarity + detail)

HI i need recommendation. I wanna buy my first entry level audiophile headphone. Budget RM150, circumaural, will be using my laptop for movies and songs. I listen to dance(tiesto, dj blend is awesome!! etc) and some classical and of course mainstream. Not a fan of heavy metal or rock though. I would prefer a pair of headphones which does have soundstage. You know the immersing effect.

I have done my research and came up with 4 headphones.

Philips shp2700
Audio technica ATH-T200
Philips shp8500
AVF HM163
Superlux 662/668B
Please the great audiophiles' do guide me. May be the force be with you.  tongue.gif

*Correction : ATH-AD900X ---> ATH-AD900

You can test ATH-AD900 at Jaben. For ATH-A900X, I dont think you can test it locally

You should test out Beyerdynamic headphones while you at Jaben.

hello,

- My Rig: iPod 2nd generation.
- Type of usage: Music.
- File format: MP3.
- Music genre: Almost everything, depends on mood.
- Budget: RM150
- Headphone/ earphone type: any good earphone worth the money.
- Other requirements (if any): if possible, please include where I can get it. Thanks!

** im not really great in musical taste, but, before this I use beats earphone (the one which comes free with HTC Sensation XL). IMO, not bad la the sounds. But now the earphone broken already, right side no sound. Only use for 1 semester (5~6 months)  so if possible, I’d like to get a longer lasting earphone. 

edit; im not  a beat fanboy, the earphone was a gift from my father as he barely use it. before that i dont even know about beats.  actually, im dont even know about any earphone. only use cap ayam before. but after beats then know a little beat of different and satisfaction. tq. biggrin.gif

Need some advice, please and thank you.
- My Rig: USB DAC (T-Muso, based on PCM2704, 16-bit/48khz)
- Type of usage: Music mostly
- File format: Lossless ^^ (APE, FLAC, etc)
- Music genre: hard to say, almost everything except heavy metal !
- Budget: Below RM 300 (but I don't like to depend on price to buy item)
- Headphone/ earphone type: Anything but not IEM & noise cancelling, prefer earbud/Circumaural
- Other requirements (if any): Best if any volume control, but not important.

I love to listen to music, so starting to buy good earphone/headphone.
I love flat response gear (or should I say neutral sounding ?), which means nothing is extra (like heavy bass, etc) but prefered detail high, clear mid, tight bass, etc.

I'm not the kind which love booming bass, so I guess tight bass would suit me ? Love to hear more natural music, so I guess i'm suitable for Open back Headphone ?
