Hi, all!
Hope you can help me.

My Rig: Laptop and LG optimus One (mostly laptop, no amp, no way to change stock audio).
Type of usage: Music all the way, even though i enjoy gaming too, these ones i want for music.
File format: mp3 mostly, flac, some youtube.
Music genre: 80's - present rock, but not very heavy, acoustic (kitaro, vangelis, movie ost's), pioano, vilolins, classical (less).
Budget: 150 rm (50$).
Headphone type: cicumaural, or supraaural (can be big, will only be used at home), open, semi-open or closed, think i would like the sound of semi-open headphones more. (not sure)
Other requirements: I want a good, clear, enjoyable sound, i like base but it's by far not the most important requirement. Had Philips 5401 foar 10 days and i think it sounded amazing on most songs, with some exceptions, not much base on the laptop, needs a more powerful source for good, punchy base. Sounded much better than anything else i could listen to: (Sony mbr-xb300, mbr-xd200, 2 panasonic at 100-150 price, and a jvc, can't remeber the models). 5401 was much more to my liking. Clean, open, amazing sound.
Currently in mind: Superlux HD668B (my first pick, seems amazing for the price - 140), Pioneer SE-M 390 (good base, overall good sound? - strong pick, with some reserve, compared to the Superlux - also 140 price), and the Philips 5401 (listened to it and liked it alot, if i'd end up with them again, i'd still be happy - took them back, cause i just felt like i could get "better" by upping my budget a bit - price - 100 - really cheap, and truly good.) I'm torn between the Superlux and Philips, waiting for someone to tell me if it's worth the difference, or recommend something better. Thank you!

What is the purpose of noise cancelling headphones? Is it necessary for normal user to enjoy better quality of sound?

Which would be better for gaming/music/movie purposes? And which would be more comfortable for long hours?

Thanks for the suggestions! smile.gif
Are these headphones the over the ear type? I think i put my requirements wrongly. Am looking for circumaural type. sorry.

I used to wear the type where it presses on the ear but after a while my ears get sore.
Am looking for headphones that will cup my ears and not press on them. smile.gif

Am willing to add around rm100 more for a good model smile.gif
