Want to ask. How can I check if the GPS is working fine in my phone? Is there any apps that I can use to check?
My phone couldn't lock in satellite. Thanks. |

QUOTE(-kytz- @ Nov 29 2011, 03:37 PM) Problem with whole body skin protector like Zagg Invisible Shield series is that it's VERY HARD to get it right. Especially when you have to deal with edges and tightly fitting everything perfectly. If there's a slightly mistake, it's totally gone. Silicon or gel case better? |

QUOTE(Kenzany @ Dec 1 2011, 08:44 AM) 2 days and 6 hours and counting.. basically i standby my hp most of the time.. doing minimum sms/calls.. 67% battery left. No need to bother so much about the battery. Battery is for use. I guess you are missing out the experience and fun of owning a smartphone. I would rather get a dumb phone if purely for calls and sms. Better battery life. |

QUOTE(wyh @ Dec 4 2011, 09:54 PM) I am already at KJ5. Do you think apps that I installed could be causing this problem? After I enable BT a few seconds, the phone will reboot. The cycle keeps repeating. I have to stop it by turning on Flight mode. Android guru, is there any log file that I can check in the system? Thanks. |

QUOTE(lopiumy @ Dec 5 2011, 11:19 AM) From what I experience in my Galaxy 5, master reset / wipe data will solve the problem, this is cause didn't wipe data after update firmware. Thanks. What will happen to my contacts and installed apps if I do master reset? All gone? How to do master reset? Please advise. |

QUOTE(jayro_88 @ Dec 14 2011, 11:02 AM) hard reset and factory reset is the same. It will wipe all the phone and data. This is from what i understand. I did a factory reset last week on my phone to fix bluetooth problem. Yes, all your contacts, sms, emails and android settings are wiped out. You also have to re-install all the apps after reset.Added on December 14, 2011, 11:56 am QUOTE(CAC@MBO @ Dec 14 2011, 10:56 AM) anyone try factory reset or hard reset of SGW? No need to re-download the OS. I believe there is an image copy of the OS in the phone memory. The reset used that to reinstall the OS. No change to firmware. Mine still KJ5 version after the reset.can I know the difference? what I heard is factory reset wipe all data and the phone setting same as new as we bought. how about hard reset? some forums wrote that hard reset will wipe data and reinstall the OS ? do it require internet to redownload the OS to install or what? Edited: Disclaimer. Above is based on my factory reset experience. I can't confirm for hard reset. This post has been edited by iamoracle: Dec 14 2011, 12:00 PM |

QUOTE(CAC@MBO @ Dec 14 2011, 12:06 PM) thanks man. Think later finish work, go back home try the factory reset, if fail only try the hard reset, just worry that need to connect internet to redownload OS or what. The reset fixed my bluetooth problem. No harm trying it. But, make sure you backup all the contacts and sms using KIES or any equivalent tool before the reset.btw, the factory reset you try, it fix your bluetooth problem? mine is the media scanning problem, wonder factory reset will solve it or not as it might be system related? I mean factory reset will reset the system file to factory default too? thanks in advance. When is your media scanning problem started? Good luck. May the force be with you. QUOTE(CAC@MBO @ Dec 14 2011, 01:30 PM) 1st, thanks for everyone's reply. GanDong lo ~ Have you tried it with another sd card? Just to confirm that it is not caused by faulty card.erm. ok. later home, i try again use laptop do error checking, and long format again. see got problem or not. now i just try reboot 3 times the phone, without ext_sd. the media scanning in phone and int_sd seem no problem, when plug in ext_sd, the media scan never end. got forum said is cause by memory card? but I already formatted it with long format wor. T_T nope. I install it since 1st day I bought. no problem until 2,3 days ago. and in fact, avg pro helps me. after insert ext_sd, media scanner keep running, I run avg pro to scan phone, after finish scan all content, the media scanner also stop. perharps media scanner also capture what avg pro scan, so they both share same scanning and cache on ext_sd. so, you mean factory reset don't change the system ? it only wipe data? how about hard reset? reinstall OS? * ps. I didn't root my phone. i use mybackup pro, seem no need root. ya titanium need root, so I didn't use. * ps. I didn't root my phone. |
