QUOTE(spid3rx @ Nov 27 2011, 05:47 PM) which shop do you bought it ? I read the old thread, some said the 2 years warranty is no SEP still offer 2 years until 31/12/2011.more offered by SEP. how true is this ? QUOTE(IwanAGP @ Nov 27 2011, 06:45 PM) Nah... they don't buy based on what their friends tell but what their friends buy. Friend buy, molest molest then suka d. In the case of iphone/SGS2 It can also happen to SGW. Someone buy, friends see and try, like, then buy. Anything wrong with that? |

QUOTE(llJasell @ Nov 30 2011, 02:00 PM) Galaxy Ace, maybe. But no updates for their new release phones is just like telling customers not to buy their phones. Marketing wont be so dumb to come out with products having only few months of selling period. (Maybe I used the wrong words to describe cause I'm not a marketing student) Galaxy Ace had 1 update, from Froyo to Gingerbread. I'm betting W will get ICS. Nowadays Android phones have at least 1 official update in their lifetime.Added on November 30, 2011, 2:10 pm QUOTE(-kytz- @ Nov 30 2011, 12:34 PM) Maybe if this phone is very popular, it will get official CM9, but I wouldn't hold my breath. Even SGSL and SGS+ didn't get CM7...This post has been edited by Dannyl: Nov 30 2011, 02:10 PM |

QUOTE(iamoracle @ Dec 1 2011, 09:23 AM) No need to bother so much about the battery. Battery is for use. I guess you are missing out the experience and fun of owning a smartphone. I guess he can do whatever he wants with his phone and his money, yeah? I would rather get a dumb phone if purely for calls and sms. Better battery life. QUOTE(annoymous1234 @ Nov 30 2011, 09:09 PM) If I'm not wrong, Nexus updates are not released by Samsung. They're released directly by Google. There's nothing to modify by Samsung because it's pure vanilla Android. This post has been edited by Dannyl: Dec 1 2011, 09:34 AM |

When you root your phone, you can even remove the stock tones. |

QUOTE(cowithgun @ Dec 5 2011, 02:04 AM) should be in /data/app/NAME_OF_THE_APP.apk If we copy out the APK, is it installable in another Android phone?if you chosen to "move to sd", it will be in /mnt/asec/NAME_OF_THE_APP.apk instead... although it is in /mnt/asec/ it is actually resides inside your external sd card. if u take out the sd card and read it from notebook (or use usb), u will see it's in /.android but it's encrypted. |

Did you notice the users who post most here are the ones who don't own the phone? Just an observation...

Anybody experienced calling someone but that someone cannot hear the caller? Had to reboot to resolve.
QUOTE(ery234 @ Dec 6 2011, 07:46 PM) I thought someone said there's a counter in the phone to track how many times it's been rooted, and Samsung Service Center can see this counter? |

QUOTE(fourteh @ Dec 6 2011, 08:26 PM) Hi I am considering W and S Plus which is RM 400 more. SPlus is RM200 more only. W is RM858, SPlus is RM1050. From my observation in Garage Sales lah... RM200 for the Super AMOLED and bigger screen but no LED flash. Worth it? To me, yes.S Plus - bigger screen easier to type and view things on screen. Tho is has AMOLED screen but W screen seems sharper and brighter. Bad is Touch Wiz 3.0 not so nice compared to 4.0 and then no flash for camera. W - Smaller and nice to hold but scared of call quality as seems many members complained of that and lower memory on board which makes it restricted if we don't root the phone. If compare to W, advantage is bigger screen but if compared to iPhone, then W is bigger. Going to get my set this weekend but still decision not made up, W or S Plus? Any advice guys? Thanks a lot! |

QUOTE(patdidi @ Dec 9 2011, 01:47 PM) Looking at my wife's SGW, the phone design already made me felt bored. I think 2nd quarter already very quiet la. Threads lose excitement here in half a year. Look at those ex-OMG-it's-the-perfect-budget-phone threads like Ace, Ideos X5.I bet before 3rd quarter of next year, this thread will be isolated. Ha..ha...ha..
