anyone try factory reset or hard reset of SGW?
can I know the difference?

what I heard is factory reset wipe all data and the phone setting same as new as we bought.

how about hard reset? some forums wrote that hard reset will wipe data and reinstall the OS ? do it require internet to redownload the OS to install or what?

saw some youtube clip, all wrote hard reset, but go in they press the factory reset. hrm. ><

btw, the factory reset you try, it fix your bluetooth problem?
mine is the media scanning problem, wonder factory reset will solve it or not as it might be system related?
I mean factory reset will reset the system file to factory default too?

when reboot phone, media scanning will start right? then within 1-2minutes it finish scan on phone and sd card.
but mine got problem as the scanning never end, for 30min and more.
and gallery,music and video can't play as media scanning running.
then around 15-30 minutes after reboot and the media scanning running,
phone memory automatic reduce from 150mb to somewhere low memory, and low memory notification pop out.

2 days ago I disconnect usb, and phone hang, so I hard restart it.
might cause problem to the media scanner. >,<

erm. ok. later home, i try again use laptop do error checking, and long format again. see got problem or not.
now i just try reboot 3 times the phone, without ext_sd. the media scanning in phone and int_sd seem no problem, when plug in ext_sd, the media scan never end. got forum said is cause by memory card?

nope. I install it since 1st day I bought. no problem until 2,3 days ago.
and in fact, avg pro helps me. after insert ext_sd, media scanner keep running, I run avg pro to scan phone,
after finish scan all content, the media scanner also stop.
perharps media scanner also capture what avg pro scan, so they both share same scanning and cache on ext_sd.

yes, tried once with my old 4gb sd card. same, never end media scanning.
but later home will try again.

if 4gb sd card work, mean my 16gb sd card problem? need reformat or buy new 1?
if 4gb sd card didn't work, will try reformat 16gb sd card with long format and error checking.
if still not working, perharps the media scanner system get buggy or what on ext_sd gua, then I shall do factory reset.

app2sd those apps and games, the gameloft game I patch 1.
now got error and keep delete those apps and games, but didn't solve my problem. aikss.

ytd did already, still got error.
so later will try again my old 4gb sd card, and using my sis SGW plug in my sd card see.
or use her sd card as well to see my phone can run as usual bo.

if long format still cant work and is the ext_sd problem and faulty,
then die liao, need to buy new ext_sd. T_T
this ext_sd I buy not even 2 weeks from lelong.

Added on December 14, 2011, 3:41 pmbtw, when I use AVG Pro to scan phone and ext_sd, after 10-15min it finish scan, the media scanner also stop. and gallery and other apps can open, can see ext_sd content.
which mean the avg pro scan share the scanning/cache on ext_sd with the media scanner.

that's 1 thing which let me confidence that is not the ext_sd error,
but media scanning in internal memory and usb storage finish within minutes,
so I come out with 1 possible conclusion,
the media scanner system on the ext_sd somehow corrupt so the scanning never end when scanning ext_sd, and using avg pro only able to "push" it together and finish scan on ext_sd.

I got my Kingmax class 10 16GB from lelong, at RM88 (exclude postage).

outside sell v exp compare to online.
I ask my 16gb class 10 microSD , outside sell RM 150-200.
I see lelong all start from RM88-RM120,130 nia. Damn.

bigger class, better when loading and cache for media, and gaming.
When you put in usb mass storage, transfer faster lo.
class 4 promise at least 4mb/s where class 10 at least 10mb/s.

Yeah. XD try format old 4gb sd card, put in sister's SGW, scan within secs, put in mine scan never ends.
put back again in sis, scan within secs. so factory reset and problem solve. XDDD
backup all applications and games, those games need to replay. T_T
but luckily gameloft 1 all data is in ext_sd. so ok. XD

It appear after I factory reset my phone and use my backup pro restore all my apps and data (include calendar data), my calendar cant add new event now. ><

Never, it fixed. I open my back up pro and restore again the calendar, then after reboot, the calendar seem ok jor.

(it appear under calendar setting, i must tick all calendar ( my calendar and Gmail calendar),
only I can see events I create, and also now i can create event. ><

Yes, I bought 16GB Class 10 Kingmax for RM88, from lelong.com.
You guys find out that exp price range is because you ask from shop.
I don't know why, but the current market for SD card is totally way too exp, they mark up too much.
last year I ask for micro SD, 16GB class 10 Kingston, was RM 130, now the price is RM180.
so better get from retailer or online.
Of course, It's ORIGINAL, in case some said are not.

nope. Actually I don't really know why need ambient light sensor.
I always set 20% brightness and it's enough for me.
if say using ambient light sensor to save battery,
I think got ambient light sensor running will consume more battery. LOLZ.

haha, btw, no problem without light sensor. =D
you can install 7 key widget pro, it can add brightness widget which you can customize from 10% - 100%. haha.
my setting is (20%>40%>60%>80>100%). haha
