Just helping out a friend. He has about 4 groups of 6 x 3 gangs light swithes in his living and dining area(connecting space) That makes 72 switches in one space. rclxub.gif
Dunno if it was the designer's fault or the electrician fault but that is a LOT of switches in one space. Wiring all done but not yet install the switches.

Anyone knows of any lighting control system/home automation system that works and have after sales support? It needs to be connected at the switch area and not to the light fitting itself.

(if not then he can play guess the switch everyday whistling.gif )

possible to "hook up and join" the wiring at the switch wall then only pipe it to the new switch

if you looking for lighting switching control for that amount of lights won't be cheap i think..

Have you used any of them before? Are they reliable?

Read of many systems but want some first hand experience of the products. Reviews cannot be trusted.. whistling.gif

Anyone with first hand experience? Every product site I go to all say that they are the best. Which one has after sales service. That is why I am reluctant to get it from overseas.

The DALI system you referred to is from Clipsal/Schneider. I wonder if the local supplier has it.

All this are local. The famous and oldest I have check before is X10. Still got few from local but lazy to search the brochure.

Should discuss with the owner how he want the light switching to be such as any group switching needed. Any dimmable light fittings? From here, only decide what control system u need.

Lighting control system could be an overkill for normal houshold application and usually used for area which have lots of lighting and switching sequence such as ball room/convention centre etc.
